It really is. I dont get why devs seem to think that bunny hopping and drop shotting should be genuine strategies for a shooter.

I remember the first time I told my friend to try Siege and he was like its not letting me jump and I was like no shit lol. Or the time he tried drop shotting and instantly got headshotted and killed for trying to do so. Thats how it should be everywhere.

yup. Especially sprinting around a corner. Thats like copper ranked shit.

you can get away with it in call of duty because of the ass net code, so they can sprint, see you before you see them and shoot you even though it shows you shot them like 3 times on your screen

I've been playing Siege since the alpha and this season is the first time I pretty much am sick of the meta

KBM players and smurfs galore on Xbox, this is what I always point out when people complain about SBMM in Modern Warfare; it's protecting us from all these smurfs lol

You literally just described the MW meta. Ever heard of the 725? Every mfer sits in a corner with that shit and has claymores set up at the entrances.

Armor helps the experience a lot imo. Regular CoD is practically unplayable, but there are a few areas of the WarZone map that make really interesting situations in Plunder/ Blood Money. Two of my favorites are the hospital and the tallest tower down town. Getting a buddy and setting up traps to control key areas can be a lot of fun. And armor and perks help you not get killed by bs.

My busy has been going for riot shield skins lately so we have been partnering up with him a the distraction and me putting down targets lately. It's fucking hilarious lmao.

It's not what I do. I don't have the patience to play like that. It's not fun for me in the slightest. I play shooters for fast-paced action and constant engagement, and a fast time-to-kill and "shoot first, always win" gameplay leads to the exact opposite of that. I prefer a game that not only promotes running around looking for gunfights, but encourages it by making camping harder and rewarding aggressive play.

MW2019 is actually too slow and campy for my tastes, so I'd probably be bored out of skull playing Siege.

well in siege

it depends on who has better aim and can aim for the head

so it makes sense. Unlike jumping around a corner unrealistically

Siege =/= CoD

Headshots are instakills in Siege whereas in CoD theyre simply a damage multiplier. So it makes more sense for people to go for center-mass up close and personal

If you take out any sort of movement advantage people could have up close like dropshotting, itll just be a numbers game

Titanfall 2 takes 100x more skill than Seige ever will.

Siege used to have dropshotting btw. It was infuriating to play against people who would abuse it and Ubisoft eventually successfully patched it out (unlike Clash glitches that get her disabled like every season lmao)

im aware of that, been playing since beta, but they patch it out. The only dumb movement exploit right now is crouch spamming. They patched it out and then they brought it back. No idea why.

but its not incredibly effective

ACOG and high ROF meta everywhere. Thats probably why Ubisoft keeps removing ACOGs and kicking the recoil on their high-ROF SMGs to the point where you cant really aim properly with them anymore

Yeah, just because people want drop shotting to be taken out, that everyone HAS to be motionless while shooting.

Because as we all know, you can only move on the Z-axis while shooting and not on the X- or Y-axis.

Or maybe, just maybe, we don't cater to those with lower skills and "even the playing field!" with bullshit like dropshotting.

Lol dropshotting is barely an issue in WZ. Plus, it's at least realistic to drop prone when taking incoming fire. They could probably tweak the initial aim instability a bit, but considering so much combat in WZ is midranged the dropshot isn't some major exploit. Also, the inherent stability bonus for most guns for being rpone is MUCH lower in this game compared to past CODs unless you use a bipod attachment. Consistently placing high in WZ usually comes down to:

1. Having a good headset. Kind of lame that it's almost a necessity, but it really does make it a more immersive experience so at least the tradeoff is fair.

2. Having good ADS gunplay. Obvious.

3. Making sound tactical decisions at every moment, especially when playing with teammates. I can't tell you the number of times me and my buddies have gotten easy team wipes just by using basic suppression and flanking tactics.

4. Excellent awareness.

Once you get to the final circle your awareness and gunplay become even more crucial as things start getting spicy and chaotic.

The bunny-hopping is stupid though. I don't even know if it's optimal most of the time since the ADS accuracy and recoil stability for most guns is great, but I do know it looks and feels awful. If you're concerned about it, the best way to counter it in WZ is just create distance when engaging in gun fights. Bunnyhopping is useless outside of close-range, so disengage and get a good overwatch position when applicable. Or setup good ambushes.

Yeah that knocks out one of my friend's co-workers we play with. The guy constantly goes off by himself to loot or to grab a contract that isn't worth it. The guy is also only obsessed with Recon contracts and he always has to point out the closest ones to go do. It's like "dude, everyone now knows about the Recon strat, that doesn't work" but he continues to do it anyway.
