Sephiroth: Hello, and welcome to week 3 of the Smash Ultimate Fighting League. I'm your host, Sephiroth, joined as always by my co-host, Crono!

Crono: We're getting into the second round of all of our tournaments today, so we've gotten rid of the chaff and now we're getting into the good stuff, so that's why it's always a pleasure.

Sephiroth: Well said. Let's get right into the action!

Heavyweight Tournament

Match 1: Bowser Jr. vs. King K. Rool

Sephiroth: This is our first look at Bowsers progeny. We saw K. Rool utterly embarrass himself last week, so can he redeem himself?

*Bowser Jr. starts off aggressive and K. Rool cant seem to find an answer for his dashing attacks. Then he lands a few smash attacks and nearly launches him beyond recovery after catching him and shooting him from his blunderbuss. Bowser Jr. tries to knock K. Rool down below the stage, but they both manage to recover. A Smash Ball appears, and Bowser Jr. knocks K. Rool away so he can grab it. When K. Rool lands, Bowser Jr. uses his Final Smash to KO him (Bowser Jr. 3-2)*

Crono: This fight is off to a strong start, and Bowser Jr. takes an early advantage.

*K. Rool chases Bowser Jr. down with attacks from his blunderbuss and after knocking him off the side, Bowser Jr. climbs back onto the stage, getting sucked into the blunderbuss and shot off the stage for a KO (2-2)*

Sephiroth: What a strange gun, but it gets the job done.

*Bowser Jr. runs K. Rool off the side of the stage and edge guards like his life depends on it, hitting him with everything hes got to try to KO him, but K. Rool keeps finding ways to survive. After several attempts, K. Rool finally gets back to the stage and returns the favor, knocking Bowser Jr. off the side and then slams him with a meteor strike for the KO (K. Rool 2-1)*

Crono: Ouch, it looked like Bowser Jr. was about to retake the lead, but thats how fast momentum can shift.

*Bowser Jr. comes back hitting K. Rool hard trying to KO him as quickly as possible. After a few projectile attacks, he blasts K. Rool with his dashing attack for the KO (1-1)*

Sephiroth: Bowser Jr. keeps things even going into their final stock!

*A Smash Ball appears, and K. Rool does double duty building up damage on Bowser Jr. to keep him away from it while trying to break it himself. After breaking it open, K. Rool vaporizes Bowser Jr. with his Final Smash for the win (K. Rool wins, 1-0)*

Sephiroth: King K. Rool wins! Looks like junior isnt ready for the big leagues yet!

Crono: Bowser Jr. fought pretty well. He just couldnt match K. Rools sheer power. His inability to KO K. Rool when he had him trapped off the edge of the stage for several seconds is probably what cost him the match.

Match 2: Yoshi vs. Banjo-Kazooie

Sephiroth: This is also our first time seeing Banjo fight 1-on-1, and our first time seeing Yoshi at all. Ill be curious to see them in action.

*Both sides come out launching projectile after projectile at each other. Yoshi knocks Banjo off the side, hitting him with his down-air and then his side-air. It looked to be enough for the KO, but Banjo barely gets back to the stage. Yoshi tries to KO Banjo with his up-smash but whiffs, and then Banjo hits Yoshi with his side-B for a KO (Banjo 3-2)*

Crono: Yoshi nearly took the early advantage, but Banjo turned it around on him!

*A Smash Ball appears, and Banjo gets it. He lands his Final Smash and quickly racks up a lot of damage on Yoshi, even though it doesnt KO him. Banjo hits him with a flurry of attacks and knocks him off the stage. As he chases Yoshi off the side, Banjo jumps off of his head and Yoshi cant get back, falling for a KO (Banjo 3-1)*

Sephiroth: And just like that, Yoshi is facing a huge deficit. It happens really fast sometimes.

*Yoshi keeps trying to hit Banjo with projectiles instead of going for the KO, letting his own damage pile up high in the process. A Smash Ball appears, and Yoshi gets it. He hits Banjo with the Final Smash and finally gets a KO (Banjo 2-1)*

Crono: Yoshi needed to be more aggressive there.

*Unfortunately, Yoshis damage is way too high at this point, so after landing a few more hits, Banjo blasts him with his side-smash to end the match (Banjo wins, 2-0)*

Sephiroth: Banjo-Kazooie wins! That was a dominant performance. Is it because Banjo is that good or Yoshi is that bad?

Crono: Yoshi didnt really seem to understand that you need to get KOs to win because he never made a concerted effort to go for kill shots, even as Banjos percentage got sky high. Yoshi took nearly twice as much damage as he dealt.

Match 3: Richter Belmont vs. R.O.B.

Sephiroth: This is the final match of round 1. Richter has experience dealing with inhuman monsters, but what about robots?

*R.O.B. starts off hitting hard with a variety of attacks, while Richter struggles to land a single blow. R.O.B. effortlessly blocks and dodges all of Richters projectiles. Richter finally manages to catch R.O.B. with his down-B and lands a string of attacks. R.O.B. knocks Richter off with a side-smash and hits him with his projectile, and Richter cant get back to the stage, falling for the KO (R.O.B. 3-2)*

Crono: It feels like R.O.B. is practically reading all of Richters moves out there.

*Richter continues to pile up damage on R.O.B. but cant quite land the big attack. A Smash Ball appears right next to R.O.B. and he cracks it open. He immediately uses his Final Smash and catches Richter in its crosshairs for another KO (R.O.B. 3-1)*

Sephiroth: Thats just bad luck. Not much you can do about that.

*Richters desperation is obvious as he hits R.O.B. with three smash attacks and finally KOs him with his axe at 175% (R.O.B. 2-1)*

Crono: Impressive work by Richter to get the KO quickly, but hes still got an uphill climb ahead of him.

*Both sides fight hard, landing big attacks and accumulating damage. Eventually, R.O.B. sends Richter flying with his side-smash and follows it up with his projectile again, and Richter cant recover again, falling to his doom to end the match (R.O.B. wins, 2-0)*

Sephiroth: R.O.B. wins! Hes looked good in every fight hes had so far. He could be a force to be reckoned with in this tournament.

Crono: R.O.B. played good defense, as Richter couldnt mount any sort of offensive consistency throughout the match.

Match 4: Wario vs. Mega Man

Sephiroth: Wario drew a first round bye, while Mega Man defeated Link last round to get here. What will the X-Stats say after this one?

*Mega Man gains the early advantage with his projectiles, although Wario still catches him with his attacks and he jumps all over the place and drives around on his motorcycle. Mega Man goes for the kill with his side-air a few times, but he cant quite get rid of him. Wario catches Mega Man by surprise with his up-smash to get the first KO in the match (Wario 3-2)*

Crono: Mega Man looked to be in control of the match, but he lowers his guard for one moment and hes suddenly behind.

*A Smash Ball appears and Wario grabs it. He tries to set up Mega Man for it and seemingly has him right where he wants him, but the Blue Bomber just barely manages to dodge it. Wario jumps around so much that Mega Man has a hard time hitting him, but he eventually drops into a charged side-smash for a KO (2-2)*

Sephiroth: That couldve been disastrous for Mega Man there, but hes managed to tie things up.

*Both sides fight evenly and get up to 100% apiece without any serious KO attempts. Another Smash Ball appears, and Wario knocks Mega Man away so he can grab it. This time, he doesnt miss and gets the KO (Wario 2-1)*

Crono: Wario makes sure not to miss twice, and now hes got Mega Man on the ropes.

*Wario once again proves to be difficult to KO, as Mega Man hits him hard but cant get rid of him as Wario keeps dealing damage. Eventually, he catches Wario with his up-smash to KO him at 175% (1-1)*

Sephiroth: Mega Man is hanging in there, but will he be another notch in the list of Noble Nine failures thus far?

*Mega Man is already at 100% as Wario enters his last stock. He does a good job of building up damage while not letting Wario hit any power shots on him. A Smash Ball appears, and Wario gets it again. He knocks Mega Man away, and as hes hanging on the ledge, Wario unleashes a fully charged fart to blow the Blue Bomber away and win the match (Wario wins, 1-0)*

Sephiroth: Wario wins! That is perhaps the most unpleasant way to win a match Ive ever seen.

Crono: Both sides showed strong endurance, as this match lasted nearly 6 minutes and both fighters peaked at around 180-190%. Mega Mans inability to get any Smash Balls might have ultimately cost him in the end.

Match 5: Mii Gunner (Protoman) vs. Mii Swordfighter (Zero)

Sephiroth: Both Mii fighters surprised us by winning their first round matches, and now weve got the two Mega Man proxies dueling it out for the right to move on to round 3 of the tournament.

*Both fighters have early offensive success on the other as they pile on the damage. A Smash Ball appears early, and Swordfighter uses his side-B to knock Gunner away from it. Swordfighter claims it and uses his Final Smash to push Gunner out beyond recovery (Swordfighter 3-2)*

Crono: The Swordfighter claims the early advantage with his Final Smash!

*Gunner tries to hit Swordfighter with a fully charged projectile but just misses. He nearly KOs him with his up-air but Swordfighter just barely survives. Another Smash Ball appears, and this time, Gunner gets it. He opts to hang onto it and try to KO Swordfighter first since hes at a high percentage. However, Swordfighter hits him with a side-smash and knocks him beyond recovery, so Gunners Final Smash goes to waste (Swordfighter 3-1)*

Sephiroth: Uh oh, that could wind up being a costly mistake!

*Gunner comes back and immediately blasts Swordfighter with a projectile to finally KO him at 165% (Swordfighter 2-1)*

Crono: Gunner works quickly to keep his hopes alive.

*Swordfighter stays on the offensive and keeps Gunner off his guard. Swordfighter repeatedly tries to knock Gunner beyond recovery off the side, but he cant quite finish him off. Gunner forces Swordfighter to block his bomb and then blasts him with a fully charged projectile for the KO (1-1)*

Sephiroth: Could Gunner do what weve yet to see anyone do and win after being down two stocks?

*Gunner is already at 150%, so all it takes his Swordfighter nailing him with his side-B to end the match (Swordfighter wins, 1-0)*

Sephiroth: Mii Swordfighter (Zero) wins! A good sword beats a good gun any day. Everyone knows that.

Crono: Mii Swordfighter was clearly the superior fighter out there today, but Mii Gunner had a few missed opportunities, especially failing to use his Final Smash at all.

Middleweight Tournament

Match 1: Byleth vs. Palutena

Sephiroth: This is our first look at Byleth, the most recent addition to the roster, so will his inexperience play a factor in the outcome?

*Palutena comes out hitting hard, but Byleth starts settling down and evening things up. He knocks her off the side and uses his side-B to hit Palutena as she comes back. Palutena starts hitting Byleth with her projectiles to deal heavy damage. She counters Byleths attack to nearly KO him, but when he gets back to the stage, she hits him with her dashing attack to get the job done (Palutena 3-2)*

Crono: Palutena not wasting any time here! Shes already got Byleth on the ropes.

*Byleth tries to hit Palutena a few times to KO her but cant quite nail it. A Smash Ball appears, and Palutena goes for it. Byleth follows her and hits her with his up-air to land the KO (2-2)*

Sephiroth: I know its a Smash Ball, but you cant let your guard down going for it if your percentage is high like that.

*Byleth nabs the Smash Ball and hits Palutena with it once her invincibility frames wear off for good damage. He follows it up by clobbering her with his side-B a couple of times to build up the percentage. Palutena tries to hit Byleth with a projectile, but he dodges and counters with his side-smash for the KO (Byleth 2-1)*

Crono: Wow, the momentum of this match has completely shifted!

*Palutena comes out blasting Byleth with her projectiles trying to KO him quickly, but his percentage is still low, so it takes a while to build up to it, so hes also dealing a fair amount of damage to her. She tries to nail him with her up-smash a couple of times but cant land it. Then Byleth returns the favor with his own up-smash and follows it with his up-air to end the match (Byleth wins, 2-0)*

Sephiroth: Byleth wins! I didnt think you could effectively wield so many different weapons at once, but Byleth is proving me wrong!

Crono: Byleth did a good job of weathering the storm early and not letting the early deficit discourage him. Once he got into a rhythm, he never relinquished control of the match.

Match 2: Dark Pit vs. Dr. Mario

Sephiroth: We kick off round 2 with a darker version of Pit and a doctor version of Mario!

*The match starts off being projectile heavy, so not a lot of damage is being done. Dr. Mario establishes control once he closes the gap between them, and its not long before Dark Pit drops into a vicious side-smash for a KO (Dr. Mario 3-2)*

Crono: The doctor is in! Have I made that joke already? Probably.

*Dr. Mario keeps dodging Dark Pits attacks for a while, but once he lands his side-B from off the side of the stage, hes finally able to sustain some offense. He hits Dr. Mario with his up-smash but cant quite KO him. However, Dr. Mario once again clobbers him with his side-smash for another brutal KO (Dr. Mario 3-1)*

Sephiroth: Dark Pit just cant seem to handle those power shots.

*Once again, Dr. Mario seems to almost effortlessly dodge all of Dark Pits attacks, so he cant land a KO. Hes almost taunting him because he isnt even seriously trying to counterattack. Then a Smash Ball appears, and Dr. Mario snatches it. However, he misplays it, and Dark Pit easily flies over the Final Smash. Dark Pit keeps hitting Dr. Mario with smash attacks, but it just doesnt seem to be enough. After a few hard hits, hes finally able to KO Dr. Mario with a side-smash at 185% (Dr. Mario 2-1)*

Crono: Dark Pit finally gets a KO, but hes going to have to stay on the attack to turn this around.

*Despite how long that took, Dark Pit is only at 5% damage when Dr. Mario returns. The doc chases Dark Pit off the side looking to finish him off, but his wide jump range allows him to easily get back to the stage. Dr. Mario tries to line up his side-smash for the killing blow, but Dark Pit hits him before he can unleash it. A Smash Ball appears as Dr. Mario knocks Dark Pit away, so he easily grabs it and nails him with the Final Smash this time to end the match (Dr. Mario wins, 2-0)*

Sephiroth: Dr. Mario wins! Dark Pit is giving darkness a bad name, and I dont appreciate that.

Crono: Dr. Mario put on a clinic on offense and defense, hitting Dark Pit with strong attacks at the right moment and making his opponent look downright silly at times when how easily he dodged his attacks.

Match 3: Inkling vs. Pit

Sephiroth: This is our first match of round 2 featuring two round 1 winners, and it starts off with Inkling having the home stage advantage, while Pit tries to erase the bad taste left by his dark self in the previous match.

*Inkling starts off with a flurry of attacks while Pit cant seem to land anything. A Smash Ball appears, and Pit manages to grab it but misses the Final Smash. Inkling runs over and buries Pit and tries to follow it up with a side-smash, but he dodges at the last moment. Inkling does it again and this time lands the smash attack, but it doesnt KO Pit. Inkling keeps hitting Pit with strong attacks until she finally KOs him at 200% (Inkling 3-2)*

Crono: Pits endurance is commendable, but he cant win just by being hard to kill. He needs to get his offense going.

*Pit tries to bait Inkling to drop too far below the stage, but she is still able to recover. He continues to pile up damage but cant quite land the KO. A Smash Ball appears again, and Pit is able to hit Inkling with his side-air to KO her (2-2)*

Sephiroth: Uh oh, this could be a turning point in this match.

*Pit cracks open the Smash Ball as Inkling respawns. This time, hes able to hit her with the Final Smash, which launches her out but doesnt KO her since shes just come back. The two of them duke it out for a while and rack up the damage on each other. They fight off the side for a bit and then Pit slams Inkling with a meteor strike for the KO (Pit 2-1)*

Crono: Oof, that was a brutal shot by Pit, and hes suddenly in complete control.

*Despite Pit being at 100% when Inkling returns, she cant seem to land a killing blow to even the score, and she takes a lot of damage in the process. A Smash Ball appears, and for some reason, Inkling makes no effort to go for it, so Pit snags it. He uses his Final Smash immediately and nails Inkling with it to win the match (Pit wins, 2-0)*

Sephiroth: Pit wins! Light beats darkness, after all? I dont know what to think anymore!

Crono: Inkling looked to be in control in the early goings, but her inability to grab a single Smash Ball enabled Pit to take control and win the match.

Match 4: Villager vs. Robin

Sephiroth: Villager had a rough go of it in the Free for All tournament, but this is 1-on-1 now, not 3-on-1!

*The two fight evenly at the beginning, and a Smash Ball appears early into the match. Robin snags it but Villager dodges the Final Smash attempt. As the fight continues, Villager takes the upper hand and then nails Robin with his up-air to bounce him off the front of the screen (Villager 3-2)*

Crono: Robin blew his chance to take the early lead and now hes playing from behind.

*Robin comes back and starts landing projectiles to build up Villagers damage and keep his own low. Then he charges in and nails him with his side-smash for the KO (2-2)*

Sephiroth: Smart move by Robin to keep his distance until he knew he could finish Villager off.

*A Smash Ball appears, and Villager gets it this time. After dealing some damage to Robin, Villager baits him into his Final Smash to get the KO (Villager 2-1)*

Crono: Wow, well played by Villager. You couldnt have planned that out any better.

*The two exchange blows for a while and rack up damage. Villager nearly knocks Robin down below beyond recovery, but he barely manages to get back. Villagers barrage of attacks is just too persistent for Robin, and he eventually KOs him with his up-air for the win (Villager wins, 2-0)*

Sephiroth: Villager wins! That was an impressive performance, as he was in control from start to finish.

Crono: Robin just never got into his comfort zone since he wanted to fight at distance, but Villager stayed in his face the entire match and never gave him any breathing room.

Match 5: Wii Fit Trainer vs. Lucario

Sephiroth: Lucario is going to try to keep his underdog run going this week! Can Wii Fit Trainer knock him into shape?

*Lucario takes the early advantage in the match, but Wii Fit Trainer isnt lagging too far behind. Lucario tries to hit her with a fully charged projectile a couple of times but cant quite land it. Then he nails Wii Fit Trainer with his up-smash for a KO (Lucario 3-2)*

Crono: Lucario isnt crisp on offense in the early goings, but hes making up for it with sheer power.

*Wii Fit Trainer just cant seem to land a strong attack when she returns and Lucario quickly builds up her percentage. A Smash Ball drops right next to Lucario as he knocks Wii Fit Trainer away, and he breaks it open. He uses it right away for another KO (Lucario 3-1)*

Sephiroth: As if Wii Fit Trainer wasnt struggling enough already, thats just insult added to injury (and I love it)!

*Wii Fit Trainer hits Lucario with her side-air when she returns and nearly KOs him, but he holds on. They trade a couple of blows and then she hits him with her up-air to finally get the KO (Lucario 2-1)*

Crono: Wii Fit Trainer better hope her exceptional training lets her turn this around!

*Lucario comes back on the offensive trying to end the match quickly, but Wii Fit Trainer holds her own and stays in the match. Lucario tries to end the match with his up-smash, but Wii Fit Trainer dodges to the side and hits him with her side attack to send him flying. The two of them blast each other with strong attacks at the same time to knock each other back to opposite ends of the stage. Lucario lets a fully charged projectile fly as Wii Fit Trainer tries to serve her ball, and while she hits him and sends him flying, Lucario hits her and launches her off the stage for the KO to end the match (Lucario wins, 2-0)*

Sephiroth: Lucario wins! Thats another impressive win for him. Has he established himself as the favorite here?

Crono: Once again, Lucario proves to be tough to kill, and his sheer power is proving to be too much for his opponents to handle thus far.

Lightweight Tournament

Match 1: Captain Olimar vs. Little Mac

Sephiroth: Both of these characters have had some unexpected success so far, but one of them has to lose today!

*Little Mac has a hard time handling Olimars Pikmin in the early going due to his slower speed. Mac is still able to land some powerful blows of his own, but Olimar rocks him up his up-smash and nearly KOs him. Little Mac tries to blast him with his side-smash, but Olimar survives it. He follows it up with a dashing attack to land the KO this time (Little Mac 3-2)*

Crono: Little Mac proving he doesnt have a glass jaw and can take some punishment!

*Olimar pounds Little Mac with his Pikmin and knocks him off the stage. Little Mac is about to recover, but Olimar hits him with a red Pikmin to knock him back beyond recovery (2-2)*

Sephiroth: I will always approve of fiery deaths, hahaha!

*The two fighters pound each other hard with strong attacks as a Smash Ball drops right into the middle of the stage. Olimar claims it and uses his Final Smash right away to do good damage, but Little Mac stays alive. Little Mac goes for the KO punch but misses, and then Olimar punishes him by launching him with one of his Pikmin. He follows it up with a side-air as Little Mac tries to recover to KO him (Olimar 2-1)*

Crono: Olimar is taking advantage of Little Macs weaknesses really well today.

*Little Mac tries to size up Olimar for the KO, but he does a good job of keeping his distance and battering him with his Pikmin. Little Mac hits Olimar hard but cant quite KO him. Then Olimar comes back and keeps Little Mac in the air with repeated up-airs. Little Mac gets back to the ground and hits Olimar with a couple of attacks. Then he blocks Olimars attack and blasts him with his side-smash for the KO (1-1)*

Sephiroth: Little Mac is really going to need that underdog boost at this point!

*Little Mac is already at 120% when Olimar returns, but he tries to be aggressive to even things up. Olimar pelts him with more Pikmin, and then he grabs him and throws him off the stage beyond recovery to end the match (Olimar wins, 1-0)*

Sephiroth: Captain Olimar wins! Olimar plays keep away very effectively to play to his strengths.

Crono: Little Mac did a good job last time of minimizing his weaknesses, but Olimar exploited his lack of reach and jumping ability to get the win. He racked up 400% of damage to only 240% for Little Mac.

Match 2: Princess Peach vs. Rosalina & Luma

Sephiroth: We saw Rosalina beat Daisy in the first round here and then beat Peach and Daisy in the tag team tournament. Can Peach get her revenge?

*Rosalina takes the early advantage, but Peach is undeterred and stays on the offensive. Rosalina starts launching Peach with strong attacks, but Peach gets rid of Luma with her side-B to limit Rosalinas range. When Luma returns, Rosalina nails Peach with her up-smash to KO her at 150% (Rosalina 3-2)*

Crono: Not the start Peach was hoping for, but shes fighting hard out there.

*Peach goes for the quick KO, launching Rosalina a couple of times with her side-B, but she cant finish the job. As such, Rosalina is able to start building up Peachs damage, and then she blasts her with her side-smash to KO Peach at only 80% (Rosalina 3-1)*

Sephiroth: It looks like history is going to repeat itself!

*Once again, Peach tries to KO her quickly with her side-B and then her up-air, but Rosalina just refuses to get knocked out. A Smash Ball appears, and Peach finally KOs Rosalina as she goes for it at 180% (Rosalina 2-1)*

Crono: Peach really needed that KO to come a lot sooner.

*Peach grabs the Smash Ball and uses her Final Smash but doesnt really take advantage of it. Rosalina starts racking up damage again, but Peach is able to get rid of Luma for a little while again. Rosalina takes the fight off the stage and looks like shes about to finish her off, but Peach gets back on the stage and hits Rosalina with her up-attack to launch her. Rosalina tries to hit her with a strong attack, but Peach uses her down-B to deflect it and nearly KOs her. Rosalina throws Peach off the side and nearly ends the match as a Smash Ball appears. This time, Rosalina gets it and uses her Final Smash to get the final KO (Rosalina wins, 2-0)*

Sephiroth: Rosalina & Luma wins! Shes looking to be the queen of the princesses based on her performances so far.

Crono: Despite losing by two stocks, I gotta admit I was a little impressed with Peach here. She never backed down and kept fighting hard until the end. She just couldnt quite get a KO when she really needed it.

Match 3: Bayonetta vs. Greninja

Sephiroth: Greninja looked good in the first round of the tournament. Can the Pokemon keep advancing in the tournament?

*Greninja takes an early advantage in percentage, but Bayonetta claws back in it. She knocks Greninja away and then clobbers him with her side-smash for an early KO at only 80% (Bayonetta 3-2)*

Crono: Wow, Bayonetta working quickly!

*Bayonetta stays on the attack when Greninja returns and he cant seem to get anything going until he punishes her side-smash. Then he follows it with an up-smash to KO her (2-2)*

Sephiroth: Sometimes even when you dont have it, just keep plucking away until you find it! Greninja might have turned the match in his favor there.

*Bayonetta keeps on attacking Greninja persistently and nearly KOs him nearly by launching him off the side and hitting him with her projectiles, but he narrowly manages to get back to the stage in time. However, she crushes him with another side-smash to KO him again (Bayonetta 2-1)*

Crono: Ouch, Greninja has no answer for that attack thus far.

*A Smash Ball appears and Greninja grabs it. He cant seem to find the right time to use it, but Bayonetta cant knock it out of him either. She knocks him off the stage and tries to follow up with another attack when he catches her with his Final Smash for the KO (1-1)*

Sephiroth: Wow, I was beginning to wonder if he was ever going to use it!

*Bayonetta keeps unleashing her smash attacks on Greninja in hopes of ending the match. She nearly does with her up-smash, but he survives. Then she almost eliminates him again with her side-smash. Greninja cant seem to get any offense going, and Bayonetta launches him with a side-smash again. Then she follows it up with her projectile to KO Greninja and end the match (Bayonetta wins, 1-0)*

Sephiroth: Bayonetta wins! Her combination of power and grace was almost captivating.

Crono: This was a strange match because 5 of the 6 KOs came at relatively low percentages of 115% or less. Only Greninjas last KO came at 145%, so I cant tell if this was good offense or bad defense.

Match 4: Mewtwo vs. Pikachu

Sephiroth: Weve got a Pokemon battle on our hands, as Pikachu looks to continue his hot streak against Mewtwo.

*Pikachu takes an early advantage as Mewtwo struggles to land attacks. Pikachu knocks Mewtwo off the side and repeatedly tries to send him below the stage, but Mewtwo refuses to get KOd. Mewtwo is able to get his offense going at last and they both get up to 100% damage. Then Pikachu gets Mewtwo up into the air and keeps following it up. As a Smash Ball drops onto the stage, Pikachu hits Mewtwo with a side-smash as he lands for the KO (Pikachu 3-2)*

Crono: Oh, what a shot by Pikachu to take the early lead!

*Before Pikachu can get the Smash Ball, Mewtwo charges in and knocks Pikachu away with a dashing attack and snags it for himself. As Pikachu falls back to the stage, Mewtwo crushes him with his Final Smash for the KO (2-2)*

Sephiroth: It doesnt take long for Mewtwo to get things back on a level playing field.

*Pikachu returns with a furious barrage of attacks, keeping Mewtwo from counterattacking, and then he nails him with a meteor strike to KO him at 65% without taking any damage (Pikachu 2-1)*

Crono: That was a heck of an offensive surge by Pikachu there. Mewtwo was completely flummoxed by him.

*Pikachus speed continues to be a problem for Mewtwo as he cant get anything going. Then Pikachu knocks Mewtwo into the air with an up-smash, and as he drops down back to the ground, Pikachu fries Mewtwo with his down-B for an electrifying KO to win the match (Pikachu wins, 2-0)*

Sephiroth: Pikachu wins! Looks like Mewtwo was a fraud after all!

Crono: Pikachus offensive efficiency was breathtaking to watch as he hit 50% of his attacks, while Mewtwo only connected with 28% of his. Mewtwo couldnt ever get comfortable out there.

Match 5: Young Link vs. Isabelle

Sephiroth: Isabelle shocked a lot of people by taking down a powerhouse from the Brawl Fighting League in Meta Knight. Will she be able to put up a repeat performance?

*Isabelle starts off by knocking Young Link in the air and following it up with a flurry of attacks for quick damage. Young Link starts connecting with his specials to slowly get back into the match. Isabelle nearly sends Young Link off the top of the screen with her explosive down-B, but he hangs on. He hits her with a few explosives of his own, but then Isabelle grabs him and throws him off the screen for the KO (Isabelle 3-2)*

Crono: Theres a lot of firepower in the early going here!

*Young Link keeps chucking bombs with reckless abandon and building up damage. He hits Isabelle with his up-air and nearly KOs her, but she survives. Young Link connects with his side-air and nearly KOs her again but not quite. He finally hits Isabelle with a side attack to KO her for real this time (2-2)*

Sephiroth: Young Links persistence pays off with a strong KO.

*A Smash Ball appears and Young Link gets it. Isabelle tries hard to knock it out of him and nearly sends him beyond recovery. However, he gets back to the stage and hits her with the Final Smash for another KO (Young Link 2-1)*

Crono: And now Young Link takes the lead! Can he maintain his momentum here?

*Isabelle tries to go for the KO and racks up damage, but Young Link stays in and keep pelting her with bombs. Eventually, shes able to hit him with her up-air to KO him (1-1)*

Sephiroth: Isabelle isnt letting Young Links offensive barrage stop her.

*Despite the percentage advantage, Young Link struggles to get Isabelle close to a KO, and she gradually starts evening up the fight. Young Link nails her with a side-smash to launch her, but she hangs on. A Smash Ball appears, and Isabelle gets it. She sends Young Link flying with her down-B and keeps throwing him instead of using the Final Smash. Young Link nails her with his up-B, but she wont let go of the Smash Ball. Eventually, she deflects one of his bombs back at him, and she uses that as the moment to hit him with her Final Smash and win the match (Isabelle wins, 1-0)*

Sephiroth: Isabelle wins! I thought Isabelle was going to let that Final Smash completely go to waste, but she used it at the right time for maximum drama.

Crono: Isabelle was an offensive machine, dealing over 500% of damage. Young Link did a good job of tanking that damage and staying in the match, but it just wasnt quite enough.
