If that 55% mainly in NY, Cali, and blue states it won't matter. Only thing that matters is the swing state votes. As seen in 2016 Trump can win without popular vote.

I saw them going over some state polling recently and Trump was down a fair bit in quite a few of the states he won by the tiniest of margins, so we'll see.

Biden is winning those polls as well. Wining by large margins in places like CA because of progressive voters was Hillary's problem, Biden is more popular with the voters Democrats lost in 2016.

Biden better not start celebrating because he's up in polls. His fight hasn't even began.

People want to see him work for the vote and make reasonable changes and see him be accountable.

I don't think he literally has dementia or anything, but him being out there more worries me. >_> He just tends to fumble over words a lot, not being seen too often and only doing canned speeches has helped him I think. Well, that, and Trump being Trump has also helped him.

I'm not sure what the threshold is in the US but in Canada there's definitely a point in the national polls where you can call a given party is going to form a majority.

Also I believe Hillary never crossed 50% correct? I thought I read that somewhere.

She was not only higher than 50 at all times she won the popular vote by over 3 million.

Yeah but you can do that and still get less than 50% of the vote, as was shown in 2016 when she only got 48%.

This was the article from the other day

3rd parties nominated no named nobodies with no notable resumes this year. Gary Johnson got about 10% of the Millennial vote last cycle, any ground to continue that momentum would have been with nominating Bill Weld, Lincoln Chafee, Justin Amash, or Jesse Ventura.
Every third party candidate is going to be a no name.

All Biden has to do is carry every state Clinton did and win Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona or North Carolina and Trump's presidency is over

Given Trump's relationship with black voters I doubt he'll win Michigan

Given Biden's popularity in Delaware, his Catholic faith, and the fact that Obama carried Pennsylvania twice I'd say he has a really good chance at PA

It'll come down to Arizona and NC

What I'm afraid of is that there will be basically no difference between the presidencies and Biden will have a civil war on his hands and absolutely fail at handling it in any meaningful way.

At the very least, you wont have a 7-2 majority on the supreme court. I dont think americans truly grasp the severity of that for your future if Trump is re-elected. The day Biden is inaugurated RGB probably retires and the other guy wont be too far behind her. That'll be one of the biggest wins for Democrats.

McConnell by himself prevented Gorsuch a Supreme Court seat. If that idiot can step so far out of his lane to make such a blatantly illegal decision for the country I don't see how it matters who is president.
