I don't think anything could touch that fantastic RPG. While the battle system might be as good Legaia's story was way better. Sorry but Shulk is no Vahn.

What I remember was a timed battle that I couldn't beat at first. However, despite saying the world is about to be destroyed, the game lets you walk away instead, back to the world map to build up your combo meters. So I casually did that, went back into the dungeon, and beat the boss by spamming the strongest attacks thanks to the filled meters.

I will say the dial-a-combo approach was more enjoyable than the 'timed button presses x100,000' system found in Legend of Dragoon.

I really hated that game and will never understand why people loved it so much, the characters were atrocious cookie cutter cutouts and the story was average at best.
