1. how can you not be a fan of space?
2. the galaxy games have the least atmosphere in the series

While I have liked some space theme things (Star Trek, Starcraft), overall I'm just not a big fan of space. I've also always preferred medieval settings to futuristic themes. Technology was just never my thing.

Every 3D Mario after 64 has a mechanic to compensate for the fact that precision platforming in 3D is an ass

Sunshine had FLUDD, Galaxy often accommodated with weird gravity shit, 3D Land and World have suits designed to give you a chance to reorient yourself, Odyssey not only has Cappy, but the punishment for death barely exists.

Going back to 64 and pretending to enjoy the last two worlds ain't happening

They're still good levels. They can just be particularly frustrating at times, even compared to the rest of the game.

People complaining about SJWs are such hypocrites when they're just as easily offended, if not moreso.

Tick Tock Clock is over-rated, but one of my favorite things to do in that level is climb all the way to the top star when the clock is completely stopped. That self-imposed challenge gets points from me.

When I was young, the only way I could get to the top was if the clock was stopped.

I like to run into Tick Tock Clock at random and deal with what the clock gives me.

Not sure why it should be included when it's in the courtyard.
oops, it's been a while since i played. i remembered the ghost level being behind the same progression barrier as the basement, but i'm probably wrong

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

You need 12 stars to get BBH to appear, and only 8 stars to access Bowser 1. Ergo, while BBH is not directly tied to beating Bowser 1, it is sequentially after it according to requirements. So I always considered BBH to be part of the second tier of levels.

Playing casually I would typically blow past both requirements before beating Bowser 1 anyways so I'd either consider it part of the first floor or neither 1st or basement.

You wouldn't put the Wing Cap in with the basement levels since you need 10 stars for that, would you?

Yeah, I usually split the game based on whether you were required to defeat Bowser in order to reach it.

With that logic I tend to combine TTC/RR with the rest of the second floor.

I consider Wing Cap outside of being divided along with the main levels, personally.

And yeah, as a casual player now... well, there's different ways to go about it. Going in door order, in the foyer, I would BOB, WF, JRB, CCM, then Bowser 1. But as a kid, playing casually, I probably hit Bowser 1 asap.

I do literally all I can in each area before fighting Bowser. When I played as a kid, I fought Bowser as soon as I could.

Fighting Bowser is not worse than fighting the camera

The camera gets an A- for its time but by modern standards its a D

Fighting Bowser is kinda fun. I enjoy trying to land the last hit on the last fight. One time, I spun him as hard as I could and let him fly, and he hit the bomb on the opposite side of the stage.
