Black people are over-rerepsented in the police force compared to population per capita.

But

1. Systemic racism still exists in the police force and justice system.

2. Black cops can still be be racist or violent

3. Black dudes on the force doesn't mean everyone else on the force will be good people. You think white or Asian cops are all racist? Hardly any of them all but it only takes a handul to kneel on people's heads.

It's not the skin color, it's the mindset. The see it as a position of power and it attracts the wrong crowd

Because they're too busy being taught that cops are the bad guys. Then you finally get the good ones that get assassinated early on because of some douche canoe across the country who is also of the same career choice.

Might as well just assume all teachers are fucking students and all doctors/medical staff are substance abusing.

All I'm gonna say is there's some bad examples in every field. Being openly aggressive and hostile to them unprovokingly or harming the good ones is only going to leave the bad ones or turn the good ones bad.

Why would anyone want to be a cop if all they have is negative experiences with cops?

Youll find that black officers suffer more hate than white officers from people of their own race, which can sow seeds of resentment.

You also have to realize it isnt about personal bias, per se; a lack of proper training and poor direction by command staff can create bad cops of any color. Couple that with a problematic us vs. them mentality, and blue becomes the only proper color for some of these guys.

Its too complicated of an issue to just say, well, if we had more black officers.

I regrettably did not get to participate in porking or being porked by a teacher. Though there was definitely 1 or 2 I wouldn't have minded.

Btw, my post was directed at all races. I've seen white people going off about crooked crops... meanwhile they're doing stuff like burning illegal chemicals and damaging other people's private property. Hmmm, bet they're real classy.

I honestly think it's just a warped mindset. You obviously have to be in a sort of cold state to handle stressful situations. After enough bad guys you start to get a skewed perspective and think all perps are deserving of the worst. Same happens to non-police... see/hear bad stories, become untrusting, now every cop is bad. So now there's more friction from both sides. It's a self feeding cycle.

"I don't like cops" doesn't mean being a cop is the best use of your interests and skillset though. It's simply not feasible for everyone to work the jobs they like the least just to make them better.

The last sovereign citizen i dealt with was Driving an unregistered car without a drivers license. Said he was traveling and not driving. Said he identified as a moorish national and not a US citizen. refused to get out of the car and showed me a fake id where his name was Mohamed Mohamed lol.

Black cops in particular have to deal with their communities for the most part labeling them as, to put it non moldable, sellouts

The black ones here in mobile are really feeling the heat now even when they go on regular calls or accident reports, they tell me all the time how rough it is ever since the floyd incident because cops get generalized and bunched together, and black cops even more so by their own community cuz they re viewed as working for the enemy

It just isn't a magic solution that will fix all problems and there are usually just less cops per person out in the suburbs so the police are still whiter than the people that are being policed.

4. There are reasons other then racism to be an abusive cop too. The racism plays a major role but it is not the only disease our police have. Some just have bad anger issues, a toxic culture(sometimes both in the force and their home) or are straight up sadists. And sometimes its also poor training.

Racism is simply one of the biggest and most noticeable sources of the rot eating away at our police.

That's pretty much what I believe. They should all strive to be good... unfortunately for whatever reason they get corrupted somewhere or they go in with something dormant. Then they absolutely ruin it for the rest or the ones that are good get assassinated for simply being.

This doesn't excuse the bad ones by any means. They need better training and detection programs for sure to keep tabs on them, unfortunately this also means the crooked ones get promoted and steer the lower ranks in the wrong direction. Outright removing them seems a bit... bad.
