Garry's Mod machinima, or Source FilmMaker ("SFM").
GMod requires countless labor hours posing models frame by frame using the clunky Posing tool and manipulating light source objects and such. You can tell something is GMod because there's some grit to it, or more precisely, the lack of computer-assisted hypersmoothness found in SFM. SFM is a dedicated CG movie-making tool that Valve developed to make all the Meet The Team videos. They released it to the public. It gives you dedicated tools to move the models around inside the game engine. Also most of these machinima, at least of the 'classic' era, spliced together audio from the games YouTube Poop style. TF2 has a LOT of audio, so this is surprisingly viable. Some of the VAs have done other work using the same or similar voice. In particular, Scout's VA has done streams just saying a bunch of shit in the voice that people take and put in. --- This signature won't be changed until at least one out of Astrograph Sorcerer, Double-Iris Magician, Performapal Monkeyboard or Electrumite is unbanned. 2/15/20 ... Characters have a ton of voice clips and responses, so there's plenty of cut-and-paste action to work with.
