Honestly, having a bunch of robots could pretty much mean automation for everything, for agriculture, for farming and raising cattle, construction, the works. Yet they decided to build a park and fuck them? Really? And these high rollers actually want to pay millions to fuck robots instead of a fraction of the real thing?

the park caters to pretty much fantasy, and making it feel as real as possible.

it's not just about sex, but an experience.

you can be a murderous, rapist bandit or a heroic lawman.

you could most likely have sex with some robot, but with a host, you wouldn't know it wasn't human unless if someone told you.

Season 3 has much bigger problems than how they've chosen to represent the use of robots outside of the park.

This world seems like such a dystopia that I don't see what's stopping them from building/having a real island where you actually hunt man, like normal billionaires. It doesn't seem like they have any qualms about that.

when it was running, how would they make sure that people wouldn't just kill other people?

since the whole thing is that the hosts are so good, you can't really be sure they're robots, what's to stop some guy frp, accidentaly doing some depraved shit to another guest, thinking he's just doing it to a host?

There's surveillance everywhere and the guns don't work on humans or I think it's more like they turn to rubber bullets/paintball level bullets.

I mean, it was pretty good. Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris carry the show, pretty much make it soar really. The other actors are good too of course. But Anthony Hopkins is just amazing.

They wouldn't, which is why Season 1 spent so much time with that subplot of Theresa and the board trying to stop Ford from doing his weird experiments. Remember the farm house scene?

They weren't supposed to have consciousness. They were meant to be just robots running extremely elaborate scripts. The only ones who wanted them to have it were Arnold (and later Ford), but they were no longer in the business of caring about the guests in the park.

no, it's something that no one in their right mind would ever do. there is absolutely no reason to. one of my favorite youtube pop culture critics, Preston Jacobs, has an excellent analogy for it: it's like inventing a new kind of Smart Toilets, and deciding to give them a sense of taste.

I disagree

the whole concept is to immerse visitors in a park where the hosts react to actions of the guests in realistic ways, with realistic human emotion.

conceptually the most thorough way to do that would be to simulate human consciousness

Even if they did, it wouldn't explain how final form Dolores worked, given that we are told directly that she is stronger and more durable but we see her without any skin and her exoskeleton is basically hollow.

In which case the other person could just say they're not a host. Hosts wouldn't know about hosts, so the very word would be enough to show they're not one.

It's also probably safe to assume that there was the occasional accidental murder in the park, and they used their infinite money and weird future tech to just make it go away like it never happened.

Hell, they could probably just send a host home that is a perfect copy of the person who was killed and hope their family never notices.

Stubbs isn't a copy of anyone, he's just a host. Bernard isn't really a total copy of Arnold either. In either case, Delos itself isn't capable of creating copies of people and they're the ones who'd be copying people to cover up crimes.
