it would be for the best if the looting stopped, but you can't be surprised about it, really

the problems under protest are institutional and systemic. it's not just about racial injustice, it's about economic injustice, and a large share of our country's economic injustice falls on people of color.

the urge to get one back on the man, to take back what's yours from the rich, is pretty understandable in that context.

Its not altright to expect the cops to do their job instead of showing the world why the protests need to happen

Not like Id expect any better from the department that got all pissy when DeBlasio supported that the cop that murdered Eric Garner finally gets fired
