Modern, WWII, or whenever. Just curious, no real reason for the topic.

I'm not sure I've ever seen that whole movie tbh. I've at least seen pieces of it, but never the whole think afaik.

Really depends on the movie, but for the most part, sure I do. We Were Soldiers, Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down and (in a loose sense) The Last Castle comes to mind when I think really enjoyable ones.

Yeah, can pretty much watch Saving Private Ryan every time I see it on. I think I've seen then all, but We Were Soldiers and the Last Castle don't spark any memories, maybe I should give 'em a rewatch.

Fury is probably the most recent one I've seen that I like a lot, though Midway was pretty good too.

Sure, there are lots of war movies I enjoyed (funny to see G.I. Jane being mentioned since I liked that too) from what I can recall that was recent:

Hacksaw Ridge (almost as good as SPR)
Fury (it's good for a first watch only but with both a mild amount of tank and WW2 history, the historical inaccuracies of anything relating to combat would drive me insane)
Lone Survivor (it's ok I guess but I totally don't even remember who the guy that survives is at the end)
Apocalypse Now (is quite a classic)

The good ones, yeah. Saving Private Ryan, Full Metal Jacket, etc.

Propaganda shit like American Sniper, no.

Thin Red Line was meh. Its approach to the subject matter is good, but it's overall dull, vague and directionless.

Saving Private Ryan was enjoyable. Great acting from Jeremy Davies.

Full Metal Jacket was excellent all around.
