everyone seems to love this movie, and it's a drama from 2019 so that indicates to me the main character probably dies, which means i would hate it (if i liked it before that character dies)

so yeah does he die? i know literally nothing about the movie other than that it has to do with gems, i assume

Not really. He certainly isn't a sympathetic character, maybe people liked him because it made for a good story and the writing in that movie was funny but I don't think many people would say he was a good person.
