Democrats are historically terrible at finding the obvious message that will win them elections. If Biden took this opportunity to make sweeping police reform his central platform, with a focus on deescelation training and actual accountability for police wrongdoing, he'd faceroll the election. Sadly he'd probably either break that campaign promise or be obstructed into deadlock by Republicans, but I digress. It's just sad that overall the Democrats are too incompetent to compete with literal cartoon villain politicians.

Unfortunately things don't really change in this world without a violent overthrow of the status quo. You can keep nicely asking a bunch of highly armed, picked on in high school, Napoleon-complex having fascists to stop oppressing and murdering anyone who is brown and/or "didn't give them the proper respect," but that hasn't worked out so well thus far.

Cops have a chip on their shoulder, are overworked, underpaid, and below average intelligence. They are trained to lie/cheat/steal/manipulate/entrap/intimidate for a living, and society tells them they should go home at night and feel like the good guys. No amount of talk is ever gonna end this.
