What I don't understand is their absolutely hatred for moderates, even Democrat moderates. They literally think that anyone with ideas slightly different from theirs on certain topics are evil, even though they might agree on a lot of other things.

There are a lot of people on 261 who should be on an FBI watch list. Every day I see posts there fantacizing about the death of conservatives, Trump, and even moderates.

Radicalism in the US is incredibly annoying yes. The demographics show both the far left and far right in the US are overwhelming white and upper-middle class, but they use feigned concern for other groups to push their agenda (for the right it's often talking about concern for the future, even though the young very much reject their policies, and for the left it's often minorities, who are quite moderate on average).

Not living in the US is great for me because the radicals are treated like pariahs here instead of legitimized by every available media source.

Don't they ban people for saying this? but yeah, among people I know in real life, I think its real. People who were completely normal before Trump elected huge became unhinged obnoxious outspoken far leftists that shunned any friend they have that wasn't also far leftist. Its almost like their outspokenness is a cry for help. Look at surveys among therapists who counsel people on politics and Trump - people legit went crazy because of Trump. I say this not as a Trump fan either, but you have to look at reality and conclude that there is something to the theory.

I agree. There are a lot of batshit insane people on the right too. I think the comparisons to Jesus are hyperbole, and I'm not sure that I know anyone in my real life that I would consider part of a "trump cult" like I do many TDS-sufferers, but yeah, it must be exhausting to constantly have to defend the latest dumb thing that Trump said.

But I truly believe that TDS is a real thing.
