Reading their wording from March, doesn't sound like they were ever promoting it as a primary vector of transmission. This doesn't seem like a huge shift for them. Precautions that people downstream were taking were just making sure this new thing didn't spread as much.

Yeah, airborne has a specific meaning, that I don't believe they've found with this outside certain circumstances. Getting it from droplets 'just' released in the air isn't the same thing
