One of my favorite bands, husker du, have great drums on their SST records releases, but when they went to Warner Bros they do have the slapping wet skin sound which isn't my favorite. I question if the band had as much creative power at WB as i though or they did have full control and still wanted on the bandwagon.

Though moreso what i mean is compressed drums and i guess not gated reverb. Still though a pretty bad way of doing it.

It's a shame people only know Phil Collins for his solo work and pop era genesis because dude is a really good drummer. His work with brand x is amazing
