I feel like even this is too optimistic. Im sure some people will adopt this, but I think by and large, its just going to be another landmark in the right vs left culture war.

In three or four years I fully expect alt-right memes making fun of people still wearing masks. >_>

This is depressing, yet I was immediately turned to believe in your foresight. Have you tried playing the stock market?

I suspect it's not going to be at a larger scale as is happening right now, especially when eventually government and businesses places won't require people to wear them anymore. But no doubt some Americans will adopt the asian practice of wearing face mask either as a protection, or when they're sick so they won't spread it to others.
