Essentially, the US has systematically deprived African American populations for centuries of education and resources. When slavery ended, almost no resources were given, meaning that you had many established white communities and no established black ones. When that fact inevitably led to black communities being poorer, because it was legal for people to not hire African americans until the 1960s, crime rates rose. Plus, you have the inconsistencies in reporting crimes between black and white populations (you can guess which one it favors)

That's what I never got.
I'm not saying at all that black people aren't capable of being good citizens without education or help from the government but when your entire purpose in life was more or less "do as you're told by whoever owns you" and suddenly "oh hey get a fucking a job and provide for yourself", I'm not seeing what people expected.

It's the same stuff with the Irish not being hired because of the fact they're Irish. Like yeah you gotta eat and stuff.
The whole they commit more crimes just seemed more like "they do what they can to survive"

Wealth is not a fixed pie, I am absolutely sick of left-wing populists (and by extension, the Alt-Right) that have zero understanding on how the concept of wealth creation works going on with their economic illiteracy. You do not lift people out of poverty by chastising and threatening to bleed the very people that make it possible for billions to have a job, to have new fancy technology that would have been considered a luxury decades ago that include the likes of natural gas energy sources, to have seemingly any item in the world delivered to your doorstep in 1-2 days. Regressive policies that are intended to bleed the most wealthy also have the consequences of hurting those in lower income brackets and those who are small business owners.
