At first I felt like, wow this is cheap but once I got used to the idea that enemies get stunned waaaay longer than needed to just do a combo, it turned into an amazing game.

Explain why to me in a concise wayBasically, it has good positive feedback (lets you get "on a role") and gives you just enough flexibility to adapt. For example, when you get surrounded, you can do a short combo of 2-3 hits, then turn around and do another short combo, rinse repeat, until others start approaching, in which case you can grab the enemy on the opposite side and throw him into the whole group or do a jump attack if you're running out of time.
