Of course, the coronavirus has limited her physical movements, and people have other things to worry about - also due to the coronavirus - and thus she seems have been slowed down quite a lot. Is she fading? A year from now, will Greta Thunberg no longer mtter?

Remember that when climate change deniers obsess over Greta Thunberg's presence, personality and physical appearance, they are trying to deflect from the fact that attacking Greta Thunberg is the closest thing they have to making a valid point about climate change. The facts are not on their side in any other way.

This is the problem with people who fought her so hard (not saying TC did, but his mentality applies to them). To them it was about picking a side. IT wasn't about her movement with regard to the environment. it was about her , as if friends were taking a side after a break up. It'll fade for them. the people who actually care about the environment, like her (side note, she recently donated 100k prize money she received to help feed children affected by Corona) won't stop the movement.

This story was literally a group of grown men and women attacking someone for caring about the environment, and the extent of their knowledge of her movement was "wait, my political party is against her ideas? FUCK HER!". And we encourage those people and allow them to get off without criticism...Now those are the same people protesting against a literal virus. this is what happens when you encourage morons like that and don't call them on their bull shit.

She's still relevant, but her moment in the sun was awhile ago. Remember David Hogg or whatever his name was and that other chick? No one talks about them now.

she got way more than she hoped for in the short term at least and i like the approach. oblivious narcissists would try to keep themselves relevant and be like "i fucking told you so" day in and out even when they've already won in order to keep the echo chamber alive.

i'm predicting that she(or her people) will collectively gather every type of positive environmental change this lockdown has affected and use it in her campaign even if, from what i've read at least, there doesn't seem to be many long-term benefits.

Calling it a movement is incorrect tbh. She is just someone who feels strongly about climate change and decided to take part in the solution. That, for some reason, was met with shut up! Youre just a kid no one cares! Theyre just using her she doesnt really care! Which promoted others to come to her defense. So it appeared to be a movement but really wasnt.
