Ok I have Persona 5 > Witcher 3 with 51%, Mass Effect 2 winning over RE2 with 51%, Persona 5> Dark Souls with 51%, and Smash Ulti winning over Oddyssey with 53%. Sounds good?

Well, I know your bracket is only alive because of it and you want to talk about it constantly, but I think Witcher wins that one with little to no trouble. Much greater chance Skyrim is in the top 4 match imo. Of course, I expect you to not listen to your poll and go all in on your upset, but do you really expect Witcher and Dark Souls to be equal?

But other than Persona 5 getting past top 8, I can see rest happen.

that's fair. Just think Witcher is naturally stronger based on the results?

60.2% on SMG2 is really really good, I truly am not sure Persona 5 could match that. Head to head, it could be different though

Persona against Skyrim would've been a fun match, because almost everyone would've picked Skyrim precontest and it would be a scare now. But Dark Souls get to have that one.

Yea even I have jumped on the Dark Souls bandwagon at this point. Someone in the stats topic mentioned to me that a rationale for P5 winning the quarters against Witcher is the SORE THUMB factor. Meaning:

P5
Witcher
Dark Souls
Skyrim

P5 will stand out against the other dark games?

Perhaps, but I think they're all well known games for it to matter a bit less and Persona isn't in a console of its own which could have boosted it a bit. I doubt it's much so you'd have to believe it's really close beforehand.

I thought Awakening would've benifitted a bit from something similar in round 2 where it certainly was a sore thumb, but if it helped it any it wasn't noticeable.

I mean, Persona winning is not the worst upset, so if you want to go all in on it, do it! But I do believe Witcher has shown its worth.

i'm not sure being in the same day as that other match benefits Persona at all, because any rallies from either Dark Souls or Skyrim are likely to significantly favor witcher 3.

Ok! Gonna stick with it, ride or die. To win these you really have to make a homerun play. Caring less about "making the leaderboard"

Yeah a bunch of blacks and reds. Skyrim has a lot of whites and autumny colours (outside the logo which is black and grey).
