Ive had the AirPods since 2017 and the left ear is fading, and they aren't too bad to work out in, but it is kind of annoying lol

I dont like the kind that dont wrap around your ear. How do you keep them from falling out while jogging? For the same price I went with the Powerbeats pro.

Airpod Pros are LEGIT. I wear them every day while running, and I sweat a lot. They dont fall out. Super comfortable, great consistent sound.

the transparency/noise cancelling modes are what sold it for me though. Transparency is GREAT. You can wear them and still hear whats going on around you in public.

No, because Apple ruined the ANC with the latest firmware update, so paying $250 for a pair of headphones that don't do really fulfill their purpose is kinda pointless.

That's what I hear but they don't have the thing where you can hear what's going on around you. I got my pair yesterday and they're on sale right now for $200 on amazon.

I like to run outside, the pros have that, but lack the ear security of the beats

Yeah with something that expensive, ear security was my deciding factor when I was shopping around. I have no complaints so far though. they hug your ear pretty tight but don't feel invasive.

idk, I like to walk and talk with the AirPods, but I could see working out with the beats superior but the ambient noise thing is a con for them

Yeah I def wish I had the ambient noise functionality because I'll be jogging but ambient but once the gym opens back up it wont be as much of an issue because I wont need to be as aware of my surroundings when using the cardio equipment.

is it a big deal? I run on trails and streets with bikes and stuff, will it endanger me? My AirPods were **** on the treadmills because they constantly fell out lol. Thinking about just keeping my AirPods and buying the beats for strictly workouts

I don't see it as a big deal. I think it's manly if you jog on a trail that people ride bikes on a lot. Usually they'll ring their bell or let you know they're passing so it's marginally good for not running into them but as long as you aren't all over the trail you shouldn't get hurt. I can see it being an issue if you're someone that's easily overpowered or vulnerable and someone is intending on robbing/kidnapping you. But I don't typically jog at night and the trails I go on are usually pretty densely populated so your mileage may vary.

All in all the ambiance isn't remotely as important to me as ear security and sound quality.
