Which one do you like better?

I enjoy how absurd the weapons get in PB - bushes, trees, gramophones, and more. I spent hours customizing them Makai Kingdom had the meatier plot and more memorable characters though. Zetta Beam! --- Into the woods, but mind the past... Into the woods, but mind the future! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Never played Makai Kingdom, but I never got too far in Phantom Brave. I remember at the time not liking the circles approach to movement vs standard squares, or the time limit a unit could be out.

Phantom brave definitely felt more polished. Makai Kingdom is the kind of story I would have found entertaining at 18 but it's not really very interesting looking back. Phantom Brave's story impressed me more nowadays, since it feels a lot more sincere and dark.

I tried out Makai Kingdom and it never really hooked me. Phantom Brave was great though.
