I know a lot of people didn't like the ending to that movie, but I love it and I use the same type of set ups and endings in my more Twilight Zone inspired short stories. Now he has to live with himself for the rest of his life knowing what he did. Now i do also have an issue with the ending as well. The movie makes it seem like they run out of gas and he unloads on the car all in a span of 15 seconds. If you run out of gas you gotta sit there for a little bit before firing it up.
