And if you subscribe to the notion that 'every office needs a Jerry' as illustrated later in the show, Jerry's ideal for it because he can take it: ~~dude's got a great home life, gorgeous wife, three gorgeous daughters, and an enormous penis, so he doesn't really need to prove anything to anyone.~~ The only time the bit still irks me is when otherwise-pleasant characters like Chris practically break character to be mean / dismissive to Jerry just for the sake of keeping the gag going. I finished rewatching Community today and it wasn't anywhere near as funny as I remembered it being. Which, I think Parks and Rec has a lot more laugh out loud funny moments than The Office does. And Leslie, while being a bit awkward at times, is a lot less of a complete dick than Michael Scott is at times. Never saw Community. Yeah, utterly forgetable and no redeeming qualities at all. Show was better off when he left. Parks And Rec is probably my favorite sitcom though. The cast is a pool of actors and actresses who are extremely talented and the writing is mostly solid.
