UnfairRepresent 04/28/20 3:33:47 PM #1:	I wanted to say protagonists but it wouldn't fit. Was thinking about this recently, how almost every video game character either has no parents, the parents are dead or some kind of daddy issues. One of the 3 Commander Shepard Origin's has a mom. Which is the closest I can think of. They're not exactly close Shepard stone cold doesn't even contact her on his/her list of people to say goodbye too when s/he is about to die. And the mom is like "Oh you weren't dead after all. D'oh well" when s/he gets ressurected but they're not hostile either. Just both kinda there. Speaking of Bioware (possibly the king of daddy issue characters) the City Elf origin has a dad who lectures you a lot and forces you into a shotgun wedding but he seems to love you and the relationship is healthyish. Mom is still dead though. Original Lara Croft's parents are implied to be okay.
