You aren't being serious right now. Any straight guy in this topic would go for it if a biological woman who looked just like Jessica Alba from Sin City said, "I want to sleep with you right now, but you should know that I really believe I am a trans man." You know this is true.

The thing is, these examples don't really work, because as far as I know, most people who identify as transgender don't simply say "I'm transgender but I'm not changing anything about my lifestyle!". Even if one doesn't go through with operations or other procedures to alter their body, I'd imagine most people who identify as transgender typically alter their lifestyle in such a way where they attempt to actually live and be perceived as the opposite gender. It's not a simple matter of a "hot girl" going "I consider myself to be a man, lol!".

a) she isn't sexually attractive to me at all
b) I'd immediately reject the offer if she's obnoxious about it I guess

Irony since you're being disingenuous ignoring people pointing out to you that ScarJo, Jessica Alba, or Selena Gomez coming out as trans, but not changing their appearance would not deter most straight guys from getting with them anyways despite being trans. If they didn't wanna get with them, I guarantee it would have nothing to do with being "trans"
Prove it.

Rushed out the post but the point stands.
You forget people have completely different tastes in what is attractive or not regardless of sexuality.

But what if they identified as trans that day, and offered to hook up with said guy that day as well before any surgery/hormonal changes as well? So that example does in fact, work.
How many pre everything trans people are out there telling people they're meeting up with for dates that they're trans?

Actually, how many trans people irl have you even had a conversation with?

Your examples are bullshit. It's like if i started bringing up hypotheticals like "well what if injecting bleach really is the cure to the Corona virus? Supposing it was, blah blah." It's disingenuous at best, totally moronic at worst.

Tbh I dont really care if someone calls me transphobic. Im never gonna fuck a trans person and calling me names wont change that. If anything it lower my opinion of them further.

Why do people care so much about what a fringe portion of society thinks? Sure they exist on twitter but irl theyre no where to be seen. Pure keyboard warriors.

I got to a liberal college in a liberal city and literally NO ONE I have met thinks like this. The word transphobia has been thrown around so much that it really has no meaning anymore.

Problem is they are vocal as hell and whiny to no end here. They are also part of the moderating staff so things said that aren't transphobic get moderated as such, and since the mod vote is just a circle jerk even posting in these topics if you don't agree 100% with them can get you nodded for being "offensive."

No, it isnt. When it comes to dating, relationships, or sex you are 100% entitled to your personal preferences. You dont owe your time, body, or emotions to anyone. Period.

You also dont have to explain yourself or your reasonings to the world.
Not sure why the topic kept going after this honestly. This is an excellent summary.

It's not a choice to be trans. And it's not a choice to be attracted or not attracted to trans people.

Your dating preferences absolutely do not support any transphobic systems that are present in society. I can advocate for LGBTQ+ rights without being sexually attracted to people in that community. I can support womens' rights without being attracted to women.

Eh. That just seems like a huge stretch just to say "See?! A hot girl is still a hot girl, to a straight guy!". It's not a realistic rhetoric, is what I'm saying. Yes, fine, in that one-in-a-billion scenario where a "hot girl" literally just decided she's transgender but hasn't changed anything about her appearance or lifestyle, and offers to sleep with a guy, the guy probably wouldn't even regard it. But realistically, that's not a situation that is likely to actually happen. Thus, it's not a very good example to use.

It would be more thought provoking to pose the question of "If a very attractive woman you knew decided she was trans and began actually living their life as a man, would you date them?". As it is, the rhetorical question is "If a hot girl said 'lol, I think I might want to be a man, but do you wanna hook up while I'm a girl?', would you do it?", which is just silly, because it's not actually asking something.

no, because trans women have a male body, right?
Which basically means your relationship goes sour the moment he takes his clothes off, unless you're truly bisexual and don't expect children.

Never mind the fact that if you're a hetero guy dating a transgender woman, you'd still be straight.

Is it homophobic for straight men/women to cross off gay men/women from their dating preferences and heterophobic for gay men and women to do the same?

This is how ridiculous it sounds to call people transphobic for not wanting to date based on sexual preferences. Outright refusal or or not when asked, it doesn't make a difference.

This line of thinking, of shaming people, isn't helping the trans community and it's making liberals as a whole look bad.

That "presupposition" is that trans women are women. So yeah, I guess somebody who thinks otherwise would arrive at the egregious conclusion that it's not straight for a man to date a woman.
