I mean...forget everything else about your brackets. This is a correct outcome when just considering game quality alone. The opposite decision would have just further confirmed the Nintendofaqs bias and rep this place gets...so it definitely doesnt hurt the site overall to see a result like this sometimes and maybe have that rep shaken a bit. I am suprised that a Nintendo game is losing, but it doesn't have the nostalgia factor or nintendo faboy associations like the risible Smash Bros. A big 100+ hour RPG is always going to be far better and memorable experience then some platformer game. And it's more story focused. It's a more relaxing type of game. A platformer is a more physical experience, similar to a fighting game or a shooter. It's about making precise timed moves and fighting against the game in real time. An RPG isn't just "better" than a platformer, it is just a different kind of product altogether. Of course there are action RPGs that do a bit of both too, but sometimes you don't want both.
