Just found out a few hours ago. I thought her marriage was decent enough. Her husband did go out and party a lot, and she's never really been big on that kind of stuff, so I knew they had differences, but I didn't think it was up to that point, though. Apparently he already filed for divorce, and she's found a new place to live already.

I'm worried about the kids in all of this, though. Not...physically, but honestly, they both have some big emotional issues already. My niece is 8, and she's kind of got a slightly bratty streak where she throws huge fits if she doesn't get her way. My nephew is 10 and has always been kind of wild and hard to control, but it's kind of developed into causing issues in class and getting into fights on the bus. I really have no idea how they're going to handle a divorce at this point. Apparently they both know and were pretty upset, but I'm kind of concerned about long-term damage. I love them both in spite of their flaws, and I really worry about how it'll all go.

Shit's crazy. Apparently my sister and her husband have been on the rocks since like October. I honestly never noticed, they never seemed that bad off when I saw them, but apparently it's over.

Am I the only one in this board who's actually played organized tackle football? Like half of the comments I've seen on this site are so obviously written by non-athletes that it's almost humorous.

When I was in high school (3 year starter for our varsity football team) I would get a full-on sprint going and clock the shit outta whoever had the ball. My coaches called me "speedhawk" as a nickname caus I had such a nose for the football and for those three seasons I was considered the most feared safety in our conference. Senior year I led my team to the state semifinals only to get fucked over by the refs in the 4th but that's another conversation (DM me if you're interested in hearing about it)

So, yeah. I hope yall can understand why I feel like their's such a big disconnect between myself and your typical CEman. Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way lol

Yeah, I kinda hope there's some kind of counseling service available to them if they need it. I'll try to help them out as much as I can, but I'm not sure if I can do much for them.

I'm going to try to support them as much as I can. I'll invite them over to my house to play Mario Party 7 soon. They both always love to play that game with me and ask to play it all the time, so I figure an afternoon to just chill and play it could take their minds off of things, if only a little bit.

Did you mean to post this elsewhere? What does it have to do with anything?

It always amazes me to see people post concerns and feelings here only to be met with the dumbest, childlike posts

Why

90% of CE these days is just people being downers

Good job @NeonOctopus

We need actual CEmen around who post silly shit.

I don't mind the silliness really. It's nice to laugh a little, because I'm a bit stressed atm.

I'm not like, torn up over the divorce, even if I did always get along with my brother-in-law well enough. It's just a lot of uncertainty overall, so it's hard not to be a bit stressed by it all.
