do you really think people should be going out and buying a bunch of non essential things and cramming into stores every single day when there's a pandemic going on?

Considering how it's pot luck if you find all your essentials at the store, it's definitely justified to be going out often. You need to check regularly if you want to stock up properly instead of buying a million cans of a soup nobody's touching that day.

That's a lame ass excuse. Plan your shopping trips better, or just learn to compromise and buy something else.

People are going out more where I live.

Places to eat have not closed here, instead, they just do take out, which I might add, actually ends up having being bunched together more (as they all wait in 1 space for their food, instead seating throughout the resteraunt.

The main difference though is simply this. In my area very few people have gotten sick and only 26 people have died out of 1 million people. This is widely known, so people are straight up ignoring the orders and laughing at them.

Meanwhile at least 30% of the jobs (and possibly more) have been stopped, AND most of the people working them, are not only getting almost double what they made each month right now, but also many have received an adddtional $1200 on top of that.

So peeps have more money then they usually have, and no work, and so they go out to eat, and have fun etc because nobody around here thinks the virus is serious.

The stimulus package is actually freaking totally wrong. It should have just been food stamps and rent relief, so you don't give tons of people living paycheck to paycheck for years, more money then they have had in cash their whole lives, and no work they need to go to.

I'm sure some places are taking this seriously, but Tacoma WA is not, and instead of having less people bunched up, the stimulus package has basically put the whole town in party mode. The exact opposite of what should be happening.
