You're supporting worse things than DLC now even worse than EA. This is coming from someone who buys yearly FIFA games. At least FIFA games have a reason for yearly releases this game being split ma k es no fucking sense other than cash grab but since it's SquarEnix/FF7 you turn a blind eye.

Oh shut it. You'd have a point if the game was only 6 or 10 hours. The way they're handling the remake it's no different from something like Xenosaga. Each game is a full experience with a beginning and end, with a tease of more to come. You wouldn't whine about it if it wasn't based off of an old game.

Really loving it, thought Id miss the turned based combat but the new system is fun as hell and challenging. Materia really matters this time around.

Honestly if it came out early ps4 and or started on PS5 id be much more inclined to follow it. But i can promise you theyll have a ps5 version bundle with this game.

I have too many games right now as is. Ill consider it if its on sale.

I like trilogies but when they're originally meant to be not past content turned into one this is clearly a cash grab.

It's just a different design philosophy. If Nomura didn't want to expand Midgar so much we might have actually gotten the full story in one game. Though on the other side of the coin their excuse was that they looked at the project as a whole and concluded that they couldn't fit the entire plot in one installment without making cuts, and they felt the fanbase wouldn't have liked that. Too many unique locations, while the Crash and Spyro games all had a bunch of re-used assets with levels much smaller in scale.

I'm liking it so far, just got to shinra hq. The only thing that worries me is that I heard it's 3 parts and if part 1 was just midgar then they'll prob have to reduce or even remove some parts of the original.. that or they'll make more than 3 parts which would suck, it'd be a 15 year ordeal

Yeah, I got no problem with 2 parts but 3 would be a big thin. However, they could really expand Junon and Wutai, in fact I expect Wutai to be a huge part of the main plot.

They are already working on part 2.

My only "complaint" is how fucking good they are at making me care for all the characters. IIRC from playing the original one time like 20 years ago, everyone in Avalanche dies except for Cloud, Tifa, and Barrett so assuming it follows that, I'm gonna be sad as fuck

Kingdom hearts is many things but its not a cash grab. At least most titles wernt.
I think youre just trying to use buzzwords you dont understand to games they dont apply to which you havent done your due diligance on and either played or researched them. "Jumping on the bandwagon" if you will.
The only negative point i have on the game so far is that they didnt put "part 1" in the title. But thats got nothing to do with the quality of the game itself. Nobody complained about "harry potter" either

Game was garbage ad no one wanted it, it bombed in reviews and sales. They scrapped it and remade the whole thing from scratch in a span of 3 or so years with a lot of content, cinema, gameplay, etc...compared to the previous version of it. I mentioned KH in my previous post and we are already heading that direction. They could have just postponed it to PS5 like TLoU 2. Now we are getting this new FF7R series that will expand into a new gen(similar to KH) and we all know they will make a new PS5 version to get more sales(cash grab) while adding more content (DLC) eventually to help separate itself more from the X Series version which will eventually get it down the road a year later along with PC. This is another one of my problems if they cared for the fans, why would the give the PS exclusivity for a year? Once again money. Another example people hated the idea of getting MGSV in parts even though it was and original game but since this is FF7 an old classic they forget this now.

Can I remind you once we get the new FF7R on PS5 with exclusive content not available on the PS4 version? I can drop this conversation now and if I remember which I most likely will we can agree that I was either right or wrong.

I was hoping for an explanation as to how they managed to work around FF14 in short amount of time comparing it to this game since it's from the same company but no one was able to disprove this point at all.

Like some people I will buy the game once we get the "complete edition" "final mix" or whatever it's called. Funny enough those same people saying it's not a cash grab will also buy the limited collectors edition containing everything about the series just like they did with the KH series. You still won't see it as a cash grab though.

Yeah, I agree that it would've been best to make this a PS5 launch exclusive or something. It's clear that even the PS4 is a bit too weak for this game given all the texture hiccups and it only going up to 30 fps, and launching the first part of a series at the very end of a console's lifespan is asking for a bit much. But that said, the game's already been delayed countless times so they probably didn't want to delay it again for that reason.

I'm still early in the game but I really like it so far. I had pretty low exceptions since the last few main FF games were not very good imo.

Because it's not really FF7. They took the first 2 hours of the game and expanded it with 40 more hours worth of additional shit, new stories, new quests, new characters, new gameplay mechanics, new minigames, new music, and added full voice acting for everything.

Ive seen people say that this isnt worth the 60 bucks because its only 1 part of the story.

Fucking what. There is easily 30+ hours of content for 1 playthrough. And its not just a boring grindy slog. If you dont think that that is worthy of a purchase, i would love to see what you consider a full price game that is worth it.

Also saw a lot saying they will wait until the full series is released in 1 collection to play it.

Yeah, ok. Enjoy waiting another 10 years for that.
