Another way to view incels is people with standards too high. Even if they aren't ugly they probably got some personality problem that turns off girls on their level.

The problem with Incels is that they think they are entitled to the attention of any woman, as long as they meet the requirements women profess to be desirable.

So if a cute girl saying she likes a guy with good fashion sense, takes long walks on the beach, and reads french poetry. The Incel goes out and refines himself with these qualities. However, what the Incel didn't know is that 'cute girls' have a secret extended list of desirable qualities they expect in men, they just don't tell anyone because they are deep down hypergamous sycophants. And because they are Incels who don't meet those secret qualities they get rejected, and become jaded that they are able to meet the requirement (in their heads), but never get with a girl they want.

There was a time when having a girl in China was highly undesirable. That mindset has led to the current ratio problem but they still aren't involuntary celibate since you can only choose to be celibate.

I dunno I kind of sympathize for incels, I have decent overall stats and finding a partner seems really difficult. Two of my guy friends are virgins going on 30, theyre nice guys but they dont really great pros going for them. In my opinion, I believe women just have too many options, or rather the illusion of options. I think too many women confuse their men in their dating pool with men in their sex pool and as we all know men will sleep with anything.

I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with being rich, but when your wealth allows you to manipulate the political/governmental system in your favor, that's not ideal.

The point is that are so many injustices and unfair things in life, and while it is noble to fight for your rights, it's also important not to become enmeshed in thought systems that lead to more unhappiness (racism, sexism, etc).

This is also a bit of a double-edged sword. As someone who loosely practices stoicism, it's important for me to remember that my personal expectations for life are not always shared by others. Everyone is on their own path, so it's only natural that people have views that are shaped by their past actions and experiences, including me.

Incels can never seem to make up their minds whether they're bitter about not being able to get the woman they want (or any women), or they're happy to be "immune" to women because all women are supposedly sadistic, bloodsucking she-demons.

Sometimes, adjectives/adverbs are added to terms to create new meaning and describe concepts that don't have a dedicated term, even if those new concepts are at odds with the definition of the original, unmodified term. This is how words work. If you feel that the word choice here does not adequately communicate the concept of "person who isn't having sex despite wanting to," I encourage you to explain why (preferably without invoking a part of the definition of "celibate" that is negated by the use of "involuntary," since that's been negated and therefore doesn't exist anymore), and perhaps offer a similarly concise alternative.

If you can do neither of these things, you're probably better off just not talking.

Sounds like hes right, though. The meaning of ice changes when combined with the word dry, as dry ice isnt the same thing as regular ice. The same thing with celibate. Adding involuntary to it could slightly (or more than slightly) change the meaning of it... Because, like I said, words can change meaning over time and stuff. And combining words and stuff do the same thing...
