black and white aren't the only races
genetic evidence shows Egyptians were middle eastern, just like today. black people lived there too, the ancestors of todays sudan (nubia/kush). some Pharoahs were black. there were no white pharoahs until the final dynasty (ptolemaic), so black people have a longer history in egypt than white people do. but the average Egyptian was neither white nor black --- ... Their immediate neighbors to the south, the Nubians, were as dark as midnight. The Egyptians had constant contact with these people and were ruled by them at one point. I think the initial inhabitants of the Nile Valley were black.
Due to the fact that ancient Egypt was a powerful kingdom and basically a regional hub in the Mediterranean, the people there became more mixed over time. --- "If you want to move fast, practice slowly...if you want to move like lightning, practice in stillness." ... Copied to Clipboard!

Does it really matter? I very much doubt our concept of race was even a thing in ancient times. Often times this is brought up for racist or nationalist purposes (in particular modern day people trying to impose themselves into the past like the whole silly affair between modern day Greeks and Macedonians). I think it's a pretty inane thing to ask.

it's pretty obvious that they were middle eastern like I was trying to say. here's a pic to show you what i mean. if you can read the graph, it's showing that ancient egyptians genetically cluster closely to today's middle eastern people groups Most of those Mummies were taken from around the Fayum area in North Egypt during the New Kingdom and even the Roman eras where there was a lot of contact with outside peoples, and its also from a small period of time late in Egypts history as well. It's not reflective of the entire civilization. Also there are still plenty of Indigenous Blacks still in Egypt today north and south. Studies like this tend to write them out of history because the sample size of those tested is so limited Siwa Oasis people for example. When you take DNA evidence from wider samples it shows that the Pharoahs of the 18th dynasty were of the E1B1A haplogroup which is a Native African Haplogroup. There's Middle Eastern types and Black Types who are both native to the area. The people who started the civilization though explain themselves that their ancestral homeland is by the Foot of the Nile under the Mountain of The Moon where the God Hapi dwells. That location is by modern day Uganda towards the South in Africa. This is written on the Hunefer Papyrus near the Valley of Kings. Archaeoligical Evidence also shows Egypt's first inhabitants came from the South/Upper Egypt. ... Copied to Clipboard!
