That's all aside from criminals being released from jail or prison because the NAACP says it's inhumane to keep people confined during a virus outbreak.

Like how are their chances better running around on the streets?

Also makes it more dangerous for regular civilians because they have to worry about the threat of convicts on top of the virus.

The U.S. is gonna turn into a vast Gotham.

There's companies that sold months worth of stock in like a week last month. They don't have the capacity to replace all that quickly even during regular times, so with lowered outputs it's even worse.

There are absolutely going to be some shortages for the next while, with some likely to occur that just haven't happened yet (like say coffee).

The economy, sure, but until the early-mid '80s we had decent infrastructure, we weren't kicking people disabled at birth off disability because we're out of money because we've been throwing money at corporate welfare, etc. We could redirect a food supply chain. Our power grid could probably have been compromised with a chainsaw back then, but nobody had a search tool in their pocket where they could tell them how in a two-minute search.

There has never been an adequate safety net in the US. FDR's Great Society was specifically "whites only". Look it up.
Carter tried, but ended up doing more after leaving office. I'd build a house alongside that guy any day.

I wish they never created a panic for this shit in the first place (and I wish people didnt let it become a panic).

I was just in Food Lion in NC a few housrs ago and some guy tried to buy six gallons of milk.

The cashier make it clear that he could only buy two.

He angrily put four aside.

After some shit talking he said that he will shop elsewhere.

I fell bad for the cashier to have to hear angry people.

But rules are rules I guess.
