They'll use 2018 if you haven't filed last years yet. And yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll just wire it to the account you either paid your taxes from/recieved your refund into.

If you used direct deposit to file for your 2018 taxes or newer, you will get it direct deposited and have to do nothing. If you didn't use direct deposit, the IRS is supposed to set up a portal to enter your direct deposit information but I am not sure if that is up yet.

As long as you filed tax this year or last year, it's automatic. If you direct deposit from either 2018 or 2019, you'll see the money in your bank account when they file it on the 9th (which according to reports I read, should take about 7 days). If you went by check, it will take much longer to recieve your stimulus check.

If you received direct deposit this year or last year, you don't do anything and you'll get your money in a week or two. Those people (the majority) will be the first paid.
If you don't have your deposit information on file, they mention there will be a portal "in the coming weeks" (who knows how long that will be???) where you can sign up (https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/economic-impact-payments-what-you-need-to-know) If you don't have a bank account on file, haven't signed up in the portal, then you'll receive a paper check that may take <I> weeks </I> from today to arrive.
