Do people hate Fortnite just cuz kids/zoomers love it? Or cuz its popular?

I hate Fortnite, because I don't think the game is that great. Maybe I just suck, but it takes way too long for a match to get interesting and once it does half the time you just get sniped or attacked from behind.
