Last night slept at about 10, woke up at 3am today. Trying to stay awake until about 9am. At about 8am Ill eat the biggest breakfast of my life and take a melatonin and hopefully fall asleep by 9, plan to wake up at 5. That'll be 8 hours of sleep.

You will get use to it. If this is your first overnight job a Red Bull or monster will help but don't keep on thinking they will help all the time. Only time you will get sleepy in your job is slow work day so keep busy.

I'm doing 4 nights straight. Then I get a week break, then I do 3 more nights. But each of those nights is a 15 hour shift, so I will become progressively more tired with each subsequent night.

Also, I can't do energy drinks. Only time I do them is during a major exam. I used to be an energy drink fiend in college, but I can't do it anymore.

I work nights 3-4 times a week. You get used to it.
My shift goes from 8:15 to 4:45 but i'm usually there until at least 5:15.

It's not bad at all once you get used to it.

The key to feeling good while you're at work is to keep the same sleeping schedule on your off days. If your home life doesn't permit that, you might have a hard time adjusting.

I used to do night shift. It took about a month for my body to adjust.

I would go in at midnight and would be out by 8 a.m.

I lived a sort of normal life, but I was always so freaking tired. It was probably because I would flip my schedule on Friday to match my friends and family. Then I would flip back on Sunday.

I would sometimes stay up all day Friday so I could get stuff done.

I've done it for over a decade, usually stay up until noon or 1 and then sleep until I get up at 8 to go into work.

Recently I've been going to bed around 8 am and getting up around 3 or 4 pm.
