The Eurovision Song Contest 2020, scheduled for May 12th, 14th and 16th was cancelled a couple weeks ago because of COVID-19. Eurovision has aired annually since 1956 and the 41 participating countries had all chosen their entry for this years edition.

A show which will honour Eurovision and the 41 songs will now air on the timeslot meant for the Final.

Eurovision is in a sense extra important in these horrible times to give people something fun to think about so Im happy there will be a show despite it not being the usual contest. Eurovision is viewed by approx 200 million people and is a way to unite Europe and beyond.

Yeah the spirit of the contest will be with us this year this way. I assume they will show the promo videos for the songs which is either a music video or from the countrys national final for the countries that have a national selection.

Sweden will hold its own Eurovision where we get to vote in Melodifestivalens app (Melfest is our national selection). First 25 finalists will be picked and then there is a final where our Top 10 is decided. The songs promo videos will be used.
