I am bias against assholes. They are going to a place where people have no or little contact with the outside word in the middle of a pandemic, and with a virus that some people can carry and being asyemtmatic this act of the curtly is deliberate. If these people can rent a helicopter then they have access to the tools that they need to understand how deadly this is.

Also - why push your religion and way of life on a group of people who have their own beliefs and way of life? The whole "saving their souls in the eyes of the Lord" shit is demeaning. Moving into someone else's territory and forcing them to reject their beliefs and way of life in favor of the "enlightened" Christian way - that's always been a facet of genocide, alienating people from their culture.

Another facet of genocide will be teaching these people English - I can almost guarantee that it'll turn into "now you can only speak English, if you speak your own language you'll be punished". None of these missionary fucks are gonna learn the local language, because in their eyes they're "civilising" and "uplifting" the local populace, and to backpedal to their original tongue will be seen as wrong and bad.

This happened to the indigenous peoples of Australia, up to and including stealing their children and raising them with white families to "civilize" them. We beat them down and forced a western way of life onto them, and it destroyed their culture with the introduction of alcohol, cutting their family bonds and traditions to separate them, and raping them to breed their race out. The Mayans were "uplifted" by the Spanish, which forced their way of life onto them through Christianity and saw the Spanish massacre them through the spread of disease, as well as the destruction of their important cultural artefacts. When the Americans were done with the Native Americans, they put them onto plantations to "assimilate" them.

The pursuit of "enlightening" and "uplifting" native races always end with those races' unique culture, language and physiology being irreversibly altered by these "do-gooding" missionaries. Introducing western religion and customs to people with their own way of life, and making those western values the new norm, only seeks to alter and harm what the native race already has - to alter their way of life to be more "Christian", more "correct". It's in the name of saving them in the eyes of the Lord, but not everybody believes in the Lord and not everybody has to be fucking converted to Christianity. All that says is that they find these people and their way of life objectionable, and it's better to risk the total upheaval and end of their culture than to let them be Godless heathens one second longer.

In short, it's incredibly fucking selfish and self-righteous of these people to "bring the good news of the Lord" to a people who could not give less of a fuck about what any other culture on Earth thinks of them. Let them live their lives as they are, as they're clearly getting along alright, and genocide of the locals always starts with an attempt to "fix" their culture. There's nothing fucking wrong with their culture, you churchy pricks. Leave them the fuck alone.
