Overall, this season of YPM had its charms and funny moments, so it wasn't very mediocre like the reviewers were saying. The original Y(P)M was just too damn good, and rarely beat anyone over the head with obvious jokes and punchlines.

Guess I'll start The Thick of It tomorrow!

Wow, accidentally sending a little girl an email about the C-word and Teri gets blamed for it. "The Sweary Woman of Whitehall" lmao. All the insults about special needs kids always having a "Sorry, Glenn" afterwards, since his kid falls in that category.

And David Haig finally shows up, as cheerily unpleasant as he was in YPM. Looks like he'll be around for awhile, so that should be enjoyable. He's certainly seems Malcolm's equal in many respects and there's not many people you can say that about.

Ruh roh, major inquiry coming. I kinda feel bad for Glenn, who's one of the best characters. Everyone uses him as their verbal punching bag just 'cause he's an old-timer. It leads to some funny moments, sure, but I'd like to see him get some victories in there, too.

Finished In the Loop. Pretty good, although a part of me wishes they'd kept the same characters as the show. Seeing that bald dude was nice -- he was pretty funny (like that duck pond shot, lmao). This might be one of the only movies I've watched all year, honestly. I think Red Dwarf and Blackadder had some that could be considered feature-length...maybe.



Guess I'll start New Statesman tomorrow.
