Pretty sure they are, but theyre handling this with more seriousness (and more authority due to communism) than our government so I dont doubt itll be way worse here in the long run.

That's not really surprising considering a lot of Americans are obese and a lot of Americans don't have health insurance, and the cost for healthcare here is outrageous.

I dont think many people understand how harshly China clamped down, as back then it was still being promoted that the common flu was a bigger deal, so the average person wasnt paying attention.

They were literally welding some people shut inside their apartment complexes. If you went outside without a mask you could be detained. They were checking temperature everywhere, if you left your house to go get food they took your temp. If it was too high you got taken away. They literally had like 900 million people on lockdown.

They say the coronavirus effects people who are obese (ie not eating healthy), those with a preexisting condition, and people who have a weak immune system. Like 30% of Americans are obese, and there are millions of Americans who don't have health insurance or can't afford healthcare and those people are not healthy.

The death rate has gone up too. It was 1.5%, but now it's 1.7%.

Also, China's numbers are definitely bogus. They've been at 81k for ages. It's obvious they just stopped counting at this point.

I dont think most people are disputing the reality that China implemented very stern, but probably necessary, methods for slowing down and (hopefully) stopping the virus.

We are saying we do not trust at all the numbers they are reporting, with regards to infections and deaths. China censors its citizens from criticizing the government and otherwise casting the nation in a negative light, such as in art or movies that are critical of the culture. They also heavily monitor and influence their own news and internet. The US reported numbers, along with many other nations, are also most likely very low compared to the actual (i.e. real) numbers. But, personally, I see that as an issue of incompetence or lack of resources, such as not having an adequate number of much-needed test kits.

China doesnt count positive tests of asymptomatic individuals. Already their numbers are suspect. Those positives you see reported? Only those with symptoms.

Wouldnt say that. It all started in Washington and since then they have done a combined total of about 60k tests for a population of 7.8m. Governor also lagged on the stay in place order.

Something tells me we will reach 500k cases in a week.

yea theres that too. i hear china is falsifying numbers and classifying covid patients as flu patients so its hard to gauge this thing cause china was the supposed to be our reference point but they obviously cant be trusted. europes numbers are the only ones we can really trust.

Obviously those aspects would effect how your body handles the virus if you get it, but my point is you can get infected regardless of how healthy or unhealthy you are.
