If you use hand sanitizer, wipe down all door nobs you touch on your way home, and wash your hands for 30 seconds first thing. Wipe down the game case too.

Then by that logic, real men are pixies.

Right now I would probably do this. The next 4-8 weeks or so is probably going to be the worst time to catch the virus. It is very likely a lot of people are spreading it around without symptoms, and people are going to start dropping sick left and right. And you don't want to need a hospital bed in that time if it can be avoided. Or if you do get one, it might mean another person does not and dies.

You can always get a physical copy later with the stimulus money if you want it for your collection. And now you wouldn't even need to carry it around to play.

This and also stay away from pretty much everybody and hope nobody who has the virus coughed where you are in the last 3 hours.

In reality is the chance you will get it from this trip (particularly if you follow all precautions) high? Not really. But your lungs turning to glass or filling with fluid is a dire af consequence.

One thing you can do if you really want it, use this map:
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html

Find where you are on the map, see how many corona cases there are in that area. If it's a rural town and it's 0 cases. Then yeah making a quick trip, washing your hands and the knobs, and game case is almost definitely safe. If it's new york or some shit, hell the fuck no.

Yeah, but TX is next bro. I really hope people follow the shelter in place orders. The first confirmed case in my home town was an HEB employee smh. The curve is exponential, and in the cities it's just beginning.

But I gotta feeling a lot of people in the cities are going to flee to smaller towns and get those towns infected. I left Austin to stay here, and who knows if I've been exposed.

wear gloves, sanitize before and after, and immediately throw the gloves in the laundry hamper before you touch anything else when you get home. wipe down the game case too.

Im an Heb employee too unfortunately.

Heb has kinda become the worst place to be in all of Texas for anyone trying to avoid the virus. I wish people would take this seriously and keep their distance from each other but every day I still see people getting too close to each other and to employees.

My brother works at the local Target and he tells me it's more packed than ever. People are not giving a single fuck out here (according to him lol). And he can't even get his hands on hand sanitizer with the shortages. Fortunately, Target employees are allowed to shop an hour before the store opens, so he can get some when there's stock.

He also tells me they're selling video game merchandise like crazy right now lol.

Well most Targets have automatic doors, so you won't need to touch those. Games are kept behind glass where dirty kids and filthy gamers can't touch them. Keep a good distance from other shoppers, use hand sanitizer after paying and using the PIN pad, and wipe down the box when you get it.

One important final note: It's like 5 days before a person shows symptoms and probably more than that before they go to the hospital to get tested, so the number of cases in your area is the number of people who had it in your area like 5-10 days ago.

Anyway, did you go or not?

A lot of places are doing curbside pickup, so check to see if your local Target is doing that, and you can order/pick it up that way.
