i was browsing reddit and i was reading up on the female-incel communities (yikers) and i wound up on one about being Porn-free in relationships. pretty much it was a bunch of women who were mad about their "porn-addicted" boyfriends/husbands and told stories about how bad their relationships were because of it, or how one porn addicted dude literally went insane after dropping porn for 3 years because she asked and bounced back and when she got mad he beat the shit out of her.

but most of it was just women ranting that men watching porn is not normal, that men should be disciplined not to sexually think about other women, and they are not insecure for wanting this.

i dont agree with a lot of what they say, but i can understand their point of view too.

what do you think?

Its a control thing and an actual example of toxic femininity. Its a woman wanting to exert complete domination over a man's genitals/sexuality. Maybe some guys are into that but it's a bad thing to do to your s/o.

I remember I used to think this was just a bunch of nonsense but its definitely the truth.

I wouldnt consider myself some kind of porn addict, I didnt even deed that much, like once or twice a week. But I would find myself casually browsing nudey subreddits on my phone just out of boredom all the time. I stopped looking at any kind of sexual stuff about a month ago and have definitely noticed a difference.

I cant say everyone would have the same experience if they dropped porn cold turkey, Im just sharing my recent experience. If other people feel like they can bang every day and watch porn every day then more power to ya.

yeah. id say that me even looking at another woman, having sex or not, would qualify to that person as "sexualizing"

i dunno how i'd avoid that. i think there's a difference between looking at a woman and going "oh shes pretty" and "im going to leave my wife and try to fuck that woman if its the last thing i do" but these women dont seem to think there is.

I don't even mean just seeing other women in your day to day. I mean expecting men to not sexualize women is an unreasonable, ridiculous notion. Men sexualize women. It's what we do.
