probably the first generation of Xbox I wont buy. Xbox has no exclusive games aside from Halo Gears and Forza and I really dont like Gears or Forza at all. Ive had my Xbox One since the first year it came out and the Master Chief Collection is the only game that got a significant amount of playtime from me in the last 5-6 years and those were all available on the 360 lol

Those big hard drives mean developers will probably get even lazier about compression. Not looking forward to every game being a 100+ gig installation.

Because of the faster everything, they can compress the files way more than the current HDDs allow. We could have much smaller games.

They're basically interchangeable. All games will use the worst of both consoles and stress both to 95%.

I'm looking forward to haptic feedback of the DS5 and using it on PC.

but even then, it's basically, do you want better looking games in 4 seconds, or almost the same in just 2 seconds

Less/uncompressed is better anyways. And the HDs arent any bigger than they are now, so if anything with graphical improvements theyll have to compress more I would think.

Im going to stick with Xbox. No reason to UG the PS4. I have maybe four games for it and one of them is from Master System. Last one Im getting for it is Ghost of Tsushima.

Fairly similar overall, with some better traits on each side. Of course, my decision wouldn't care about this much as I already like things I will most likely only be able to get on the Sony side (not the biggest FPS fan to begin with, and Halo hasn't really been that good since the trilogy and reach anyway).

So I'll be sticking with Sony as I am someone who likes some Japanese games, and especially many of the smaller developers in Japan tend not to put stuff on Xbox that much (some of the formerly PS-only guys are increasingly putting stuff on Nintendo's Switch though, interestingly).

I mean they are not better looking games by much either so meh. Both basically the same thing. All that has ever matted to me though is the exclusives. If I cared about specs i'd be gaming on the PC.
