SBMM has completely ruined any interest I have in continuing to play the regular multiplayer. Infected & Ground War are still fun to play on occasion, but nowhere near enough to keep me playing it constantly.

The campaign is excellent but isn't worth spending $60 or whatever it costs now on.

I just downloaded it for war zone overnight. Fucking 80 gigs. I'll try it once I get home.

I hope the game ain't blurry like black ops 4.

You arent supposed to do that in this one. Just hold because they made camping so viable that it's pretty much disadvantageous to do anything else

Battlefield 1 was my top fps in the recent years. The gun play was perfect and quite a few maps were well balanced and fun.

Let's see if this can top it. I really want something to kick dice in the ass after that shit of bf5 they put out.

Dont complain about being matched with your level. Only way you can complain is a legit gripe about regional connection and lag because of it

except pubstomping has been a time-honored tradition since forever

i'm mad i have to play MLG-lite every game instead of kicking back and relaxing while i play. shitty players are the ones who benefit from this system. there's zero incentive for me to improve the way i play because i get punished for it instead of being rewarded by being a better player.

there's league play for those who want to sweat every match. pubs are pubs for a reason, and no amount of defending SBMM is going to change the fact that it has no place in public games where connection should be the priority above all else.

Ever considered you were on the receiving end of a pub stomp most of the time rather than the giving end?

The dopamine hit that comes from that level of stomping isn't very good, particularly when people become used to it as they do. They now expect to stomp every game and when it doesn't happen it's not their fault, it's the game. SBMM is a sort of reality check.

It's an ok game, not the best COD. while it did some things right, there's a lot wrong with it.

It isn't worth $60 really, too many campers and you pretty much get punished if you don't camp. A lot of the games go at a snails pace because damn near everyone camps, hardly anyone does callouts when they die.

Paying $10 to be able to see your k/d ratio during a match is bullshit, i like to know what my k/d is so i know if i need to change up my play style or weapon.

No, i didn't play the game at all. Yet i have an opinion of the game....
The last time i played it, i was at like at level 22 or some shit. Regardless, you shouldn't have to spend extra money to see your k/d.

I didn't rage quit, the game got boring. It couldn't hold my interest at all, the games went at a snails pace. The only game mode i actually liked was gunfight and that's it, i was decent at it.

Its also in the battle pass along with 99 other cosmetics, CoD Points and XP boosts. No matter how you flip it its not $20

Huge potential ruined by strict SBMM (with no visible rank), no permanent Dead Silence perk, doors, and a minimap that doesn't show opposing player locations when they fire their weapon (unsuppressed) unless you have a UAV up.

If you enjoy camping or youre a newb, youll probably love it. Otherwise, its a huge letdown.

My main complaint was how blurry it was.But after beating the campaign I realised they put a motion blur option in the display menu...Like why the hell was that on as a default?

Multiplayer is bad and far too campy except for certain specialty game modes that encourage more movement. Normal kill-based modes (Team Deathmatch and Free-For-All) are filled with campers, and objective-based respawn modes (Domination, Hardpoint, and even Kill Confirmed) are filled with campers who don't play the fucking objective because they have no incentive to. It's much better than it was at launch after they've made several fixes, but the game design still favors campers over rushers way too much. I find myself playing WW2 and even BO4 more often these days.

Cranked Confirmed (Kill Confirmed but with Cranked rules) is in the game right now and it's the most fun I've had in the normal MP in a very long time becuase campers simply can't do well under Cranked rules by design. But it'll be gone in a week, so what's even the point?

I can't speak for the Spec Ops mode because I don't play it, but I've heard it's buggy and barebones as fuck. Campaign is good but still too short to justify paying $60 for it. Warzone is worth trying because it's free, and so far I'm enjoying it.

Oh yes it did. Snapshot grenades suddenly werent useless, people couldnt just run good old Overkill/Ghost/Amped for their M4/725 combos anymore and gas wasnt ruining the CQB maps thanks to Battle Hardened getting buffed.

Camping is a byproduct of BOTG gameplay; Ghosts was even WORSE in this regard with stupid IEDs that can be placed anywhere and that M27 Thermal combo. The last two Black Ops games werent very campy because you had welfare kills aka specialist weapons that could ruin your day with little you could do about it

Like what? I camped my ass off in Modern Warfare 2 and 3 for my nuke/MOAB and I guarantee most people did too, look at any older nuke montages lol

There hasn't been a "regular" CoD in years so we finally get one and people forgot how people originally played these

Except you weren't punished in MW2/3 for running and gunning - which was what made the series fun considering it's an arcade shooter. idk what kind of bad player you have to be in order to camp for nukes in those games considering how easy it was to get using a UMP45 and the 7/12/25 streaks.

this realism nonsense that IW thinks makes for good and exciting gameplay is completely asinine and punishes those who wish to move around, which is a core part of the games being fun since forever.

this is not even bringing up the godawful maps, key features like lobby leaderboards being removed, and killstreaks being nerfed to oblivion - which is another core part of these games.
