I love the visuals in the music video. Like seriously, going to take some screencaps and use them for my desktop wallpaper. The song is okay, something about the way they say "more more more more more aannddd more" kind of irks me though tbh. Maybe it will grow on me.

I think it was nice.

It definitely carries a bit of a easy-going tone and tempo, and I think the overall sound of the album partly remarks a time of kinda slowing down, but not in terms of actually being a decline. This is just how they decided to work their sound this time around, perhaps focused on composition vs. shooting for the stars in any fashion.

I guess recent example for me is like EXO's "The War" album, which was doing well but not the same exciting product in my mind. But it's a bit of a good thing, because they didn't force their hand to stay sounding young like NCT now taking over, and in this case Twice isn't being forced to be anything like Itzy.

*for the MV and performance, I think my only peeve is imo Twice's choreography is usually bad at isolation/blocking. There's nice collective moves, but either the active vocalist has to be centered or they kind get lost because there's crowding of sorts.

After a day of listening, I'll honestly give the album a solid 8/10. While More & More isn't their best title track, it grows on you after a couple of listens. The side tracks however pick up the slack quite nicely. There's none that I outright dislike whereas I usually like maybe 2 or 3 others outside of the title track for Twice album. Not really a knock on them, as I just have specific tastes for songs I like. Top 3 in no order would be Sweet Summer Day, Don't Call Me Again and Make Me Go.

I did the same thing with Yes & Yes.

Anyways, I love it now, and the "more and more aanndd more" part is actually my favorite now.

I liked the "more more more" part instantly, works great. Overall I'm very pleasantly surprised, I thought they'd be going back to their old form by now but this is the most different sound I've ever heard from Twice and in many ways the closest to the style I prefer, for me much more enjoyable than most of their songs, I applaud them. The whole thing is perfectly smooth, the breaks, everything makes sense but still keeps you interested throughout. Yeah this is their best song in a while for me, they keep moving in the right direction after Fancy and Feel Special. Maybe I should listen to the whole album!

"More and More" definitely warranted replays for me.

It's weird because I'm not particularly excited for it, but it's solidly...nice. Rest of the album, I mostly agree. There is this (good) consistency to it, and that makes it hard to single out any other song. I imagine an MV will change my tune about any of them.

I guess it also comes from my not ever being that big on Twice's music. I actually find their visual incredible and no question on their talent.

Sana and especially Momo have been my favorite looks this time around.

Nice dude. I'm glad you like it. Yeah it may not be on the level of Feel Special, TT, or Likey but it's definitely a solid track. And the whole album is consistently good like you said.

I'm hoping they complete the evolution next comeback and do a full on sexy theme that just commits genocide lol

Okay so I think I figured the video out

The song itself has to deal with sins. Mainly temptations, gluttony, and maybe even a little bit of lust (When I call you again // When you hear my voice // You are gonna be mine again).

In the beginning is the obvious Garden of Eden. The apple, the snake, etc. In the middle when they're in the middle of the lake is either heaven or the world after the great flood, because surrounded by body of water and the portal and the structure behind them being rainbow to signify rain. Then the dance break is purgatory because darkness, but it hints hell when it flashes red.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk

Alrighty then lol, you convinced me.

Mmm pretty good, even the regular Twice tracks. Besides M&M I like Firework, Shadow and Don't Call Me Again. DCMA specially got me shook, now I really want Twice to do a title song like this! I wanna see them fierce, mrowr.

Feel like the M/V and couple of live performances didn't do the choreography much justice. The way sequencing and blocking is handled is way more compelling with this perspective. Close-up views make it hard to appreciate a collective choreography when it becomes over 5 members, and there's little use of temporary splitting and isolation.

On another note, this was cool with NCT having Baekhyun's back for the lonesome encore lol, although I'm missing what the lipstick gag was about.

I'd say so. I like the overall aesthetic in that it's darker in color and theme than the other albums. And I really like their outfits in this version. Not to mention musically, I feel that this is there most complete album imo.

Bit a of a curveball/OT. WayV album dropped.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUCVRF6hjSQ

Been liking the production quality ever since the "Take Off" teaser. That snippet in itself seemed promising to me, and they kinda retain elements from that "era" into the current album.

I haven't been in the loop with Chinese artists. Just vaguely remember F4, and then EXO-M and SJ-M. WayV seems to have been a solid step.

Members seem well-defined, know handle to stage. This was nuts one of my favorites of last year period and they didn't even have Ten with them.

Momoland dropped a new song: Starry Night.

https://youtu.be/a9wtk92Ik_Q

It looks better on a phone, since it's shot in portrait mode. Anyways, I likey. It's a nice laid-back city pop jam. The other songs on the album are good too. It includes Korean versions of Chiri Chiri and Pinky Love, and a cute English (!) version of Starry Night.

I never really understood the appeal of having Momo sound like that.

And well being an "encore" performance, I can't really place any expectations because it's borderline off-key even when she does it right.

That segment of K-Pop fanbases that presumably consist of teenage girls like to just something out of nothing. It's weird to me when supposedly Momoland or like BP Jennie are getting trashed. Like, over what? They barely speak on anything. Then again, where their audience is from also plays a part. Poor Tzuyu got blasted for her nationality and then blasted for forcibly apologizing. Sheesh.

While there are a lot of teenage celebrities and athletes, it kinda throws me off when I add it up for K-Pop artists. Like that one girl on Apink is a 9-year veteran and started since she was 13/14.

Yuna from Itzy only recently turned 16 and she looks like she's completely on top of handling a performance. How she handles verses and center positions, and it's a 5-member group so she gets a lot of air time.

Well, all of Itzy looks more experienced than for a sophomore year group. Makes people I know of my generation seem like bums. I guess the flipside is losing out of childhood, but it would've been nice for myself to have my shit together for the future too.

Besides losing out on a normal childhood, another downside is that apparently idols don't make much? I've seen videos of former idols talking about their career, and they said most money they earned went toward their debts. The training costs, housing, etc. But these were idols from not-so-successful groups. It's probably different for a monster group like TWICE.

Twice are all millionaires. Same for Mamamoo, Red Velvet, BlackPink and most likely GFriend.

Most Big 3 groups don't have to pay off any major debts, and both Mamamoo and GFriend paid off their debts less than 2 years into their careers.

But the top groups make up a very small percentage of the total number of actively promoting K-Pop groups.

Most never pay off their debts and never reach the upper echelon.

Then you have people so desperate like GLAM's Dahee, who even tried blackmailing a famous actor to pay off her debts.

Honestly, female idols at least are making more money as streamers.

Even successful ones, like Mamamoo's Solar, have started streaming.

It does seem lucrative for idols to stream or make YouTube videos. They would already have an audience and their earnings would go directly to them (no middleman or company to go through).

Anyways, I'm glad TWICE aren't being screwed like many pop idols before them.

I do feel sorry for the less popular groups though. They dedicate their life to being an idol and work just as hard, but it doesn't work out. That's life, I guess.
