Welcome to Save That Video Game Character 3, where 100 video game characters from games of all types were nominated by CE to duke it out till there's only one character remaining.

Rules:
You can only save 2 characters per hour. Right now, characters only need 1 save to be safe. The last character remaining gets eliminated, and we rinse and repeat.

Characters are saved based on the order in your post, so it's recommended that you put you favorites first when saving.

I just have a bad feeling that one of these unexpected night rounds is going to completely screw me over at some point. It almost did tonight, because I was actually just about to get off for the night but thankfully noticed the new round in time.

If I had to pick, I'd rather have the mornings.

I just think that having both a morning round and a night round in the same day (like we had today) should never happen. If we have a morning round, then that should be assurance that we won't have a night round the same day. If there's no morning round and the first round of the day doesn't start until past a certain time (let's say noon EST) then that means to be on the lookout for a night round. Does that sound fair? Am I asking too much?

It's possible my sleep schedule is just fucked (which it is), but at least on a personal level 10:30EST doesn't seem a super unreasonable time to start; PST that's only 7:30.

I get though that everyone has different schedules and time zones, that's one of the big challenges and factors with these things.

I will go ahead and put a hard maximum of no more than 3 rounds in a day; 4 rounds in one day was admittedly a bit much. Even with that limit, I'll lean more towards 2 a day as the norm; the further in we get as rounds go a bit longer, we'll see more and more just 1 round a day situations; for these early rounds though, I'd say assume 2's the norm, with some wiggle room.

I can also go ahead and promise now there won't be a morning round tomorrow; I'm not waking up till around 2PM EST cause I'm working the night shift tomorrow, so it'll be some time after that; which also means if we DO have 2 rounds tomorrow, it'll be a night round.

I don't usually give time ranges for expecting rounds, but I feel a bit bad about the 4 rounds in a day. >_>

I work an evening shift, so morning rounds will likely kill my picks. Personally, I didn't mind 4 rounds today as we are just getting started. Lotta people though, so good idea in knocking it down to 2 saves already.

My work schedule alternates between working mornings and working evenings, and which days are which changes each week, so there's really not gonna be much of a set pattern to when the rounds are. The only mainstay is that if I work in the evenings, I can make a round before work, and if I work mornings, I can make a round when I get off work in the evening. Hence why evening rounds are the most likely, but nothing's guaranteed.

I think so. He should be able to do it whenever. Everybody has different schedules and lives in different places. Why should people always away for one of the rounds now always be screwed then? Sure I hate to miss a round, but it happens.

I can't really ask for morning/day/night rounds. I suffer from constant changing sleep schedules, it sucks but I've always had this problem, and if I miss rounds (like I did today) then I'll just have to hope someone notices and helps my noms out.

When it really comes down to it, I'll put up rounds when I'm able to put up rounds. Sometimes that'll be morning, sometimes that'll be night, it's really gonna vary, and while it sucks that sometimes people miss rounds, at least with it constantly varying, it's not inherently biased towards one person or group of people's schedules. Even for myself, there's often been times where I put up the round, get my first save off, and that's it. I often don't get a chance to save the rest of the round, and people can attest to the fact that I've lost favorites pretty early as a result.

The one thing I can fix and can recognize as an issue though is having too many rounds in one day. Missing one or two rounds is sucky, but also kinda of an accepted part of this game's format. But if someone completely wasn't able to check in at all on Sunday, missing 4 full rounds is admittedly excessive. So while I cant lock down a permanent "rounds will never be at _____ time!", I can at least lock down a maximum amount of rounds that can possibly be missed in a day.
