Eh, I stocked up on groceries today, mainly for my wife, but not stressing. I've done almost everything I've wanted to do in life, so if it's my time, it's my time. I just hope God lets me into heaven after all of the bad things I've done.

I'm more worried about people's reaction to it. I don't want to see theft, vandalism, or violence.

It's not an unstoppable super-virus. We don't need to treat it as such.

Same. People are freaking the fuck out over nothing here. I just went to the store to buy beer, and then I saw that people were cleaning out the shelves so I went ahead and loaded up. Idk if I will have a chance to buy groceries again for a while because of the idiots that can't handle stress. My dad told me one time that civilians freak out over everything, and it's true. Reminds me of The Mist.

I'm worried about dumb people being afraid of coronovirus and doing dumb people things.

Heh, pretty much. Pretty crazy run locally on all the stores today like a zombie outbreak is pending.

Im not concerned about my own healthIm young and healthy enough it shouldnt be an issue, but I worry about my almost 70 year old parents and 90 year old grandparents.

I'm not worried about dying but I am worried about finding a job in the next three months, which is how long I can go without more money.

.....yes, in the short term. Obviously the public health is concern #1. But I'm provably more worried about the economic impact of the public panic the most.

I think Mark Cuban really hit the nail on the head last night. I worry mostly about hourly workers, who cant really afford for everything to come to a screeching stop for a month or more.

A little, yes. Monkey see, monkey do. Can't help but to be a little unnerved by they way this has taken over the world. I think we'll make it out, but it's probably gonna get worse before it gets better.

lol whats the difference

I feel like worried youre aware of the seriousness but can react logically and safely. (see: social distancing, washing hands, etc)

scared means youre running on fear and are not thinking rationally (running to the grocery store and stocking up on toilet paper)

I took it as "worried" being at the back of your brain and "scared" being at the front. It's back there, but you're still like "eh, whatever" and go about your business as usual

How about the difference being that if you are taking active measures which are not being forced upon you, then you are scared, how's that?

Yes. I have elderly parents with preexisting medical conditions and my dad is a bit of a dumbass when it comes to wearing a mask or touching his face (we had to constantly bitch at him while in China in January because of it.

I've also been off work since January 20th and I don't know if I am actually being paid for this time or not because Chinese bosses are assholes who don't give you any information. Running low on money and still in Thailand waiting to head back. Hopefully back to work by the beginning of April but I'll be leaving my wife and daughter in Thailand while I go back to China alone for at least 2 months.

me personally, no. I won't die from it unless i get a severe case and have health issues I don't know about, at most i feel a little sick for a few days, stay home, play video games, use my 30 sick days.

At best I never catch it, I still work from home, i laugh about it when we all return to work
