Don't steal, don't lie, don't kill. Golden rule applies, treat people the way you want to be treated. I feel like people who are in a position to help people should do so though they arent obligated to, although at a certain point hoarding wealth at the expense of others is gluttony. I have Christian values I believe, but I just don't believe in the mythology surrounding the religion. Such as a conscious higher being judging us. But I do believe in a higher power and I believe good actions/deeds/mindset causes other good things to happen. To be fair it's not just atheists, a lot of people have pretty twisted views of god and religion, understandably. It's actually the other way around. Because you're a good person, belief develops. But I'd say most people don't fully understand what they believe, those who actually believe something.
