There is no telling when it will actually be released for PC, and open beta (which supposedly will transfer directly into the launch...so basically the launch) starts next week on the 16th for xbox one.

There is nothing else I want to play on an xbox one though, so it seems like alot to spend just for one game. Also, I'm pretty sure I'll need their online service to play it (xbox gold or whatever).

Still I'm very tempted, maybe I could find a fairly cheap one used.

Yeah, IIRC free to play games require Gold on the XBox systems. I'd say if you want just that, keep waiting. We waited years already, what is a bit more?

Whether you should or not I'll leave to you, but I'm just going to throw a couple thoughts out which may help with what you could do.

Afaik there's been no confirmation on the actual PC release date yet, but I think everyone right now is assuming that it will launch alongside the Xbox because I guess that's how it happened in Japan. They're also guessing there isn't going to be a beta for PC, it will go direct to launch, and considering the Xbox time table the lack of a beta seems increasingly likely if they do launch simultaneously. That said, I've seen people mention in Japan you can play your same account on both PC and console, so until it's known otherwise the assumption is it may work the same here.

With these things in mind, you could tough it out until there is more PC information available, and if it happens that they don't launch together you could (presumably) start on the Xbox and move to PC later.

Just borrow it from a friend if you only want to play one game.

Hmmm, yeah I will wait for now. I "could" just get a used xbone one and then sell it later once I can switch my account to pc, but I am not that desperate, so blah, I have waited forever, I can wait a bit more, or at least till there is more information I guess.

Just sucks. Wish they would at least give us a time table or something.

Yeesh, Wolfy, $130 is a lot to spend for the best game console of Generation 8?

Forza, Halo, Rare Replay, the best versions of multiplats (like Monster Hunter World and Elite Dangerous Horizons), B/C with favorite 360 and OG Xbox games, XBL Gold, GamePass? And, I guess, Phantasy Star Online 2 if you want it?

I'm considering heading over to a pawnshop and grabbing a spare in case mine ever goes down.

I have all the multiplats you mentioned (horizons on ps4, mhw on pc), I don't like halo type games (Fps games in general) and I played Forza and while it's ok, I'm not really into racing games anymore (I used to be).

There is literally not ONE game on the xbox one I would play besides PSO 2.

I had gamepass on my PC and played all the games I wanted to play on it already (it was awesome for 6 months though). Nothing new has been added that I don't already own, or want to play.

I would't have to spend that much though, since I could buy it used, and then sell it for about the same price, so I may do that. Then it would only cost me like 40$ total (including the xbox live cost) to play till the game came out on PC.

Main thing I wanna make sure of is I could transfer my account over though, as I would not want to start over from scratch.
