I thought it was just ok. Mostly carried by Craig's awesome performance. At one point they basically break the 4th wall when they admit the car chase was incredibly dumb.

TLJ hate is perfectly understandable to anyone who has attempted to write a coherent story before

Craig can make anything he's in feel meaningful, no matter how campy the premise.

That car chase was extremely dumb but I like how it actually moved the movie off the house for once

Even M. Night Shyamalamadingdong has at least one generally regarded good film.

Why would you hate to admit it.

Its the movie that should have won over parasite if they werent going purely for the 'first foreign film to win best picture' angle just to try and gain hype since no one really cares for the oscars these day. they literally have a best foreign film catagory for that reason.

I think it's the other way around tbh. TLJ was so bad, and much of that is blamed on Rian, that it then becomes hard to acknowledge that he can cobble together something that isn't complete garbage.
